Ummmmm. That was a bit of a pain in the dick, whether you have one or not.

Sorry for the delay, but between the frog strangler and install time (1hr of messing around with the upper hole), I had to get some food in the pie hole.

@vecdran was spot on. Upper hole is a pain. I can see why it was done that way, but the mold should have been adjusted since the actual angle had no real bearing on the shape of the outer mold. I think it is best to get it started first with the handle out of the seats.

The nutplate that comes with it is fully threaded. No need to swap.

I am missing the upper cover. Got two lowers. Neither fit as tight as the other side.

How well does it match the rest of the interior? Color? Texture?

Have you tried any pullups on it yet? Does it feel secure?

As was said, the stock trim as a strange blue hue in very bright light or when scratched. This is a scoche darker with a slightly different texture. Neither are noticeable once installed. I would have to update that once the sun comes out.

Honestly, being so far separated form other similar textures, it should not be an issue.

The other details though are a bit of a problem. Especially the bolt angle shown.

I am not too concerned about strength, but by the time I was done with the installation, I didn't wiggle it but once.

That’s cool though because you have an invite to my unboxing party. Speed (1994). Pizza. Sofa fort. School night. Mom stays upstairs. It’ll be wild.

My mom say it will take place in second quarter 2020, btw. So no rush, Katie. NO RUSH NEEDED AT ALL.

I had a Costco cart full of groceries in that gully washer. The cardboard boxes are useless when soaking wet. Everything just got thrown loose in the truck bed (yay softopper) as lake Kirkland Signature formed in the parking lot. I had to change into dry clothes and put my shoes on the boot drier when I got home.

Anyway, all that to say dealing with a truck project with an uncooperative bolt and missing parts in that would've sucked.

Frog strangler, gully washer - and boot dryers?. Around here we call that spring, and boots go upside down over the HVAC vent in hopes they are dry by morning.

Sorry that you got soaked, but that's a good story. Turning to a bit of snow here now.

The wait is over and I was able to get it in without destruction, so I'll call it good for now.

We call that fall and winter also. Usually none of the need for waterproof gear though. Today was a bit unusual. Tomorrow, Seattle will accidentally be dropping sewage into a lake.

    Mods? Yes.
I'm not original 100, but for the sake of data, I ordered 2020-MAR-09. #208 on the web preorders list. Responded to confirmation email Sat the 19th, no response.

Agreed with many sentiments here, but will continue to be zen.

doorbell just rang, got my handle! I just opened it and confirmed that the lower nut will be good, its not a cheapy one thread nut. Unfortunately, I am one of the folks who got the same handle double plugs with one being wrong. I'll email her and let her know.
