So here’s my guess. Toyota is thinking about rolling out a bunch new OEM extras like Ford is doing with the Bronco and this is a creative way to gauge interest in these products. That’s at least what I’m hoping because it’s just ridiculous looking.

I think they need a Bronco competitor. Us in the Land Cruiser world wish they would make a competitive vehicle, 70 series sized, solid axles with lockers and a lower price point than the $85k full size LC.

Ive thought about it so many times. I think the only way I would do a trailer like this is if I got a good deal on a full bed.

Yeah, I can get a 4x8 for like $300 and it will fold in half too.

EDIT: Oh and I like the idea of having a bed rack to put the kayaks on in the trailer, then still have a diamond back cover over the bed to put my fishing stuff in and locked.

Certainly looks at home on stage in video, probably not that way out in the wild.

This Taco trailer would look good hitched to an icar, that's if an icar could pull it.

This! I'm having a local technical school build one as a project for their welding class. Pretty much just paying for materials and parts. They are doing the rest.

I never had an issue with warranty and off road shenanigans. Of course I was never stupid enough to break something wheeling and expect warranty to fix it. I took it in for a few normal "it just broke" things and they never said anything even with obvious trail rash and muddy engine bay/undercarriage. If I had a leaking strut or a broken leaf spring or something, yeah they probably would have told me to get bent. Lol.

Its more of a running joke here. There have been many people who have had warranty claims denied because there was mud on the truck.

I changed the bed on my Tacoma. So had an extra bed.

Really need to get that back bumper mounted. (yes, the wheels are centered in the opening - now.) Fun fact, military trailer w/ 6 lug is a perfect fit for Tacoma rims - not mounted yet in this mid-build shot.

Sounds like a shite dealer. Mazda tried to pull that crap with me on a Mazdaspeed vehicle I had. They said the failure was due to over rev at 6800 rpm. Redline is 7200. I told them if the engine couldnt handle 6800rpm then the redline needed to be set lower. Unfortunately I ended up having to be "one of those people" who yelled loud enough until they gave me what I wanted to shut me up.

Rest assured some "tools" will buy it, ask a hundred times how he can fit 35s on it without cutting, want it tuned and attempt to act like everyone else sucks if they don't have it. Same guy who buys the TRD Pro that they refuse to get dirty or muddy.

I have a dealer by me that is terrible. My door striker (silver loop in the door jam that latches the door) was starting to rust at the weld points. He said it looks like I spilled some acid on it.... when I asked why nothing else on the car was damaged from acid he said "i dont know, but thats from you spilling something" like wtf, first how do I spill acid on just the striker and nothing else, and what the hell would I have acid for?

Out of the 4 times I have gone to them for service, I have had to go back 4 times to get the to redo or fix something they messed up.

I dont go to that dealer anymore (Walser Toyota in bloomington MN)
