I did ride a V-Rod once. That thing was sweet. Did ride a GSXr-600 and knew better than to get on a 1000. Nope. Also know better than to even sit on a Busa. Uh uh.

 

I used to take mine to a lake at a park. I’d be catching stuff with the rod bent in half. Jokers stopping to see what I was pulling in. Pull up a 6” bream. They’d scoff and walk off. Lmao

 

Stinky and Shrinkage

 

I started my riding with a crappy ole Kow cruiser that someone gave me because they didn’t have the money to pay me for fixing some stuff for them. I rebuilt it sold it and and bought a 600 gixer. I then traded that for a GSX-R 1000. That bike was stupid fast and stupid fun. One night one of my friends was following me back to my place so we could drop the bike and go out.

Was on an interchange from one expressway to another and some old lady started coming into my lane. I caught it out of the side of sight. I nailed it. When I let off I was about 140ish. My friend later was like damn I saw her almost clip you and then all the sudden you weren’t there.

Scared me on a couple levels.

 

No big deal. My driveway and neighborhood make riding difficult.

Yep, been overcast for hours now.

I like the Japanese torque curve, but my body is ruined for the power band of a mid-tuned 103 Harley

 

Ya I’ve been wanting the V-Rod so I could have a fun cruiser.

 

Have you tried the Triumph Speed Triple?

 

Suzuki dr650. I rebuilt the forks with heavier springs, all the preload on the rear, fmf full exhaust, bigger jets and opened up the carburetor and dropped foot pegs. It does pretty well for me (270-6’). Pulls the front wheel in second easily.

 

Yamaha vmax, that’s my next keeper bike.
