Thanks! And I don't mind at all.

Including taxes, it was just over $2800 CAD installed.
Toppers in Canada are significantly more expensive than in the States.

windoors is the only way to go. i did get the sliders, but i find myself never using them really- just here and there to air it out. but if you're trying to sleeping in the camper, then 100% i think you'll need the sliders.

Unfortunately in person the color match does not look as close as the photo. It's just a little darker than the truck. Doesn't really bother me half as much as the leaks and now a third window gasket is starting to peel out. I'm sure I can find a you tube video on how to replace them at some point. I just feel if you are shelling out big money these things should at least be right to start with.

I used clear silicone caulk on the two gaps at each corner near the cab. If you didn't do that already it should help. My removable window came with a messed up gasket so I still get some leakage but not as bad as before the caulk.

I'll measure mine if you need me to? I said Fugit and jumped on this for $800, refinished it for another $100 including new bug proof screens. I used the Harbor Freight bedliner paint, then went over that with Rustoleum Pro enamel. I had some hiccups with the paint but in the end it turned out great. LineX is like $400 bucks but they don't remove any glass. I removed it all.

Mine also leaked at both front bulkhead corners. The ARE dealer installed a special seal kit just for Tacoma but it didn't help. A roll of butyl and a lot of water testing later its finally dry. The bulkhead design is problematic to say the least. I still love it and the color match was spot on.

Hotter than white but not much more than it being blue.

The only color that does not attract heat is white because white objects reflect all visible wavelengths of light. Black – the color that absorbs all visible wavelengths of light – attracts the most heat, followed by violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red, in descending order.

I got that off the interwebs.

Now, my wife still wishes I would have left it white. The truck reminded her of a late 70's Bronco I had when we first got together back in 83'.

    20200308_131009.jpg

My forum Brother @Justanotherhemi still hasn't forgiven me, and we never even dated.

I liked it white, I just think it looks better black.

    20200907_151559~2.jpg

Now, why a cap? Because I've had a Bak Revolver X2 on a Tacoma, and a Softopper too. Each has it's own merits. For me, priority is maximum security. Then protection from the elements.

For maximum versatility, and you have to give up form for functionality, I recommend a taller than cab height cap. Especially on a short bed. I'm completely satisfied with my decision and the only thing that could make it better for camping would be the full SUV style door. However, you do lose the 20" of additional bed length from the tailgate. I have needed and done that.

    Hope this helps.

Oh, no matter what, get windoors with sliders for both sides. I wanted to replace my fixed sliders with them but was told by a dealer replacing them wasn't an option. I still don't buy that.

2020 Sport. The ARE cap is for transporting a K9. Both sides are awning type windows and a fold down rear window.

Hard top camper...many more to add+
When buying a camper shell...make sure front side camper window can be remove to clean outside camper window and the rear of Tacoma cab window!
I have a Leer camper top....this extra cost is “worth it”! ..making it easy to clean both windows..

this option to be use , if you are planning to look though your rear view mirror and camper shell..to see out the back....cause space between camper and cab is tight...
