Yes. One and done. Nothing left in truck.

My post above just implies I have not chased any other tunes. Because there are variants on what works best.

Gotcha, makes sense. Thanks for clarifying. I was worried I’d have to keep a laptop in my taco. Lol

So what does an old fart have to do to be excited to own this 2021, TRD 4x4 OR Auto ? I am so not into this truck. I love the new truck feel, hate HATE the down shifting constantly on just climbing an overpass. Doesn't the dealer hold anything to improve this ? Is this OV Tune the only option? Does it show up and effect your life time warranty? With mods I have $46K in this and should be excited, but at this point I may look to unload it and find me a 2014 - 15 and pocket the difference. Not loving life right now with the Taco.

Did you talk to the dealer about the issues maybe there is a TSB for the tranny??
I thought there was a new thread for the TSB maybe your truck already has it??

I have an appointment Weds. for my 5k service and they want me to leave it so they can check things about the shifting. I think I have found someone near Jax Fl. that has done the OV Tune and am trying to run them down. Be safe everybody. And thank you

    What non stop issues?

We did not ditch you or any of our customers here. It may have been a simple communications issue because we have had so many VFTuner inquiries. Also you want 04B14 tune pack you have to purchase the credits if you already used them on your previous ECU.
This is how our software works, and has from the beginning of VFT.

And I do know from the MT thread that you, personally, tend to blow stuff way out of proportion, come in out of the blue with ranting complaints that you *never* previously communicate with us about..

Our tune is not unrefined, it does not need to be continually reset. This isn't the first time you've posted that, which is not true. As a matter of fact the more often you reset it the gradually worse it's going to get, because you keep resetting the learning which must take place.

We also have more trucks with tuned miles than not tuned. Nobody has health issues with their truck as a result.

Sorry to hear you are unhappy but honestly not surprised.

Yes true to you, I'm sure.
I'm sure, based on your forum posts, that you had some issues.
But I know for a fact we have said that you should *not* be continually resetting the ECU. People ignore that, and have problems.

Not to mention I don't think you have ever communicated us via the proper channels, and are blaming us for ditching you because you have to pay for something that was a requirement from day 1? Ridiculous.

Sorry to hear our product didn't work for you.

Has been a year since my old school OV tune? Just about, then the "upgrade" shortly after. I have not and do not want to mess with the new system, and don't want to learn it. The 2.0 MT in my 2019 is very good. It has not unlearned anything. Plenty of pep and low down grunt. No urges to search for more.

So should I sell my Pedal Commander if I bought the OV tune? Does anyone know the gear ratio of the stock 2021 TRD PRO and stock tire size? Just so I know what to enter in the OV tune when it arrives, sorry for the newbie questions new to trucks here

I think most decide they don't need it anymore. But you could always sell the PC after you try it.

So is the wheel a 31 inch or 30 inch? I tried to do the math it seems to be 30.6 do you round up?

There’s tunes that say stock. You only need to worry about tire size if you’ve gone up to 33/35
