I know these are only aesthetic and not for actual use.

I caved and got them a while back. Are they silly and not really useful, sure. Most of the crap I do is (and a lot of people). I haven't really gotten into performance upgrades and don't need them anyway. Sometimes it is the little dumb mods to get you going, seeing things you didn't see before, getting your hands a little dirty, building confidence in trying new things on your truck, big or small. Making mistakes and figuring them out on your own or with help. Not playing on your phone or watching porn all day but doing something.

Live and learn, get outside, have fun, make it yours.

Cheers my TW peeps. Happy holidays ya filthy animals. :santa2:

If it’s a choice between stuck somewhere or making it home, we have options.... maybe!

I have some Demon Brackets on order. They will be fine for a light recovery. This is the way I have recovered someone in the past. Not my pic , but the same idea. Now you can't always be aimed the right direction. But this is a good optionTow-Strap-Using-Soft-Shackle-1280x853.jpg

You mean the same location as the factory recovery point.....?

I'm not sure why you would link a thread by Tetten, he abuses is truck harder than anyone I know. He's also blown an ARB carrier while rock bouncing on fordyce.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Recovery point? Or tie-down point for shipping? Or one of each?
I'll have to take another look underneath in the daylight.
The bracket for the shackles appear to bolt to the cross member and not directly to the end of the frame rail.

My years of material testing has taught me the best way to learn how things fail is to break them.
I like hearing from guys who abuse their trucks and break things - helps me to learn what NOT to overdo on mine.
I'd prefer that someone else do that so it can reduce the odds that it'll happen to mine.
