2nd gens are very hard to find-in my area and go for high $$$ when you can find one. Terd gens drive trans suck. They never fixed them right and are not as reliable as 2nd gens. I am constantly harassed for me to sell my 2015. NO WAY. Always offered more than KBB. Dealerships have admitted to me that the 2nd gen is better than Terd gens.

Where'd you decide to get yours done at? I had my old 98 Cobra Mustang regeared and they rebuilt everything while in there. I think I paid like $700 for everything. A place in Kearny Mesa... but now can't remember the name.

Also, not today, but Saturday I helped my buddy with a 2010 DCLB Prerunner change his front rotors/pads. By helped, I mean I did everything while he sat and watched. lol. Got everything done in under an hour and a half and that's with taking the time to explain things to him. Now he knows how easy brakes are!

Finished up the remote starter install (thank you 12v solutions for a great black friday deal), cleaned up my aux button wiring behind the dash because why not, and triple-tested everything to make sure it all worked. I also moved my SPDT switch that I use to control the lowvis hi/lo red bar light to make it so all my "external lighting" switches were located on the same bar. Now I need to aim the lightbar in the bumper and figure out a) if I have enough gutter guard to cover the entire thing or just the sides, and if a)=true then b) what is the light transmission through perforated metal gutter guard actually like, if acceptable, then mount it in place, if not, then only mount enough of it to cover the open sides beside the light bar.

@gotblika Yes, I have a feeling that I may regret the sale. Should have bought the 4 door back then. . . .

If you need something bigger and have the $$$, I’d go with the 2021 Tundra—the last year of that reliable V8. I heard the 2022 models will be a twin turbo V6.

A friend of mine owns an offroad shop and I was planning in having him change the ring and pinion but he's in process of moving his whole shop.

I called every shop in the county that does this type of R & P change. I went with San Diego Gear And Axle in El Cajon. I was surprised to find out that all of the shops that specialize with Toyota's were the most expensive by far.

You didn’t want to order an assembled third from ECGS and install yourself?
