First off let me just say as a new Taco owner this forum is awesome! I have gotten so many cool ideas and bought stuff from many vendors here. What a great community.

Yes I know it doesn't make sense as a USMC edition without camo or molle, or the eagle globe and anchor for that matter, but that's the custom decal I chose, so that makes it my Marine Corps edition. Served 6 years and in Light Armored Recon and saw combat in 91 Gulf War and Somalia in 93. Yea I'm an old dude now.

Enough about me, truck started life as a 20 Cement OR with KMC wheels, KO2 Tires, n-fab nerf bar, and 3 inch spacer lift - Finally upgraded to an Accutune Stage 4 Mid Travel Fox setup w/ DSC.

I do have the Mobtown single swingout spare tire carrier and jerry can bracket, but decided didn't like the look for every day driving so I just attach it when I go on long trips or serious off roading.

Also have full RCI skid package & sliders, Diamondback, and all sorts of other doodads. Probably went overboard, but oh well.

GoFastCamper (#41), ARB 2500 Awning with Full Room, Mobtown Off-road Sliders and Full Aluminum Skids.
    Freaking great looking truck!!!!

Can’t say it enough nice job, and thank you for your service.

The multicam accents look sick and I really dig the AR bolt face incorporated into the decals.

Check out Hondo Garage, Wiley makes a radio knob with the bolt face logo on them, in addition to looking cool they make it so you can actually operate the volume on the freaking radio.

Finally if you’re really going to use it Offroad you may re-think those side steps, hanging down in the most venerable spot you’re probably gonna bend them. Take a look at sliders to protect that long open area.

Thanks man, appreciate it. I actually was waiting on those knobs for a while because he had to redesign them for the 2020 models. As soon as he got them in stock I got a set. That makes a total of 4 AR bolt faces i have on my truck now, but can you ever really have too many? :D

Gorgeous. Great job. Waiting on delivery on my 21 Sport. Finally parting with my 06 Sport, so bitter sweet. Loving the grill. Any details on it? I saw a company that made a laser cut EGA grill for the Tacoma, but cant find it now. Semper Fi.

Nice looking truck. I usually don’t like the pocket-style fender flares but they look great on your rig along with the Diamondback. Looks mean!

Thanks man. The grill is the Rigid Industries grill & Light combo. Originally I didn't have any plans to go with a light bar in the grill, but what I found at night was that my bumper mounted light bar only lit up the ground directly in front of me. It can only be raised up so far. I wanted a lot more distance because I do a lot of high speed running at night. Roof rack grill wasn't an option due to the glare off the hood. Hence the grill light. Perfect height.

After I got all the components I then found out it wasn't compatible with later model Tacomas due to TSS. Uggghhh. So I had to have a shop fabricate a custom bracket covered with tinted plexiglass. It was an expensive undertaking. But I do like how it looks though.

Well not quite. If that was the case I would have named it 'my dream truck build'

More like I wanted the Tacoma, and here is the dream Tacoma that I wanted it to be. Come to think of it, maybe using the term dream is a bit much. But I do LOVE my truck though

If we are talking dream trucks, possibly the Roush Nitemare or the forthcoming Ram TRX.

I love seeing trucks modified with a Diamondback cover :fistbump:

What aperture are you shooting at and with what camera to get those starbursts from the lighting?

    The black multicam is gorgeous.

Thank you, credit to Meso Customs for that multicam. I saw it and instantly knew I had to have it.

Camera is a Nikon D810 w/ Sigma 50mm art lens @ F16. Any smaller than that and the starbursts start coming apart (at least in my setup)

Thank you for the insight. I’m using an old worn out Canon 450D (with the same lens as you) but it still surprises me sometimes. Tacos and photography are two very interesting topics. :D

Love the grill. Been looking for something like that for a while to be able to fit a 20 inch baja lightbar in it. Who makes it?

Ummm thats not photoshop light effects, that is using a small aperture (in my case F16) and a long exposure. Its called a star burst effect and is a result of the light diffracting and spreading out in waves (or bursts) past the small opening in the lens. You can control the size and intensity of the burst using different apertures. Only way to do it though is to throw the camera on a tripod.

The only photoshop in either of those photos is whiting out the license plate number on the back plate.

Off topic, but that's a cool shot in your signature btw

Thank you. Its the Addictive Desert Designs Honeybadger bumper. I chose it b/c I wanted a winch mount, integrated light bar, and just thought it was the best looking one on the market. Always loved the prerunner look and thought this was a good compromise for the street. Can't say enough good things about it.
