Squatting 1,000lbs is way scarier than deadlifting it. This shit is wild. You know not a damn soul is gonna be able to catch that bar if he drops it.

I need to do yoga again its been awhile for me. I went from 70 miles a week to zero for 6 weeks now working my way back to 30ish miles a week. Gained like 10lbs. Im fat and out of shape.

Why do they even fucking bother standing there?

Due to a bunch of shit I went from long endurance cardio sessions 4-5 times a week (multiple sports) to basically walking, hiking, and lots of power yoga. My food consumption hadn't changed, I haven't gained a pound, and I'm building muscle. My gf says she can see and feel a difference in my body as I progress through the months of yoga practice. So far I seem able to go do my usual big days in the mountains as normal and even PR'd some stuff and tagged a KOM recently. Point is, for me, the vinyasa is working and keeping me in shape. Holy crap I sound like a religious zealot. You a Strava kid?

The best part is the spotter behind him. I have NEVER in the gym seen someone spot from that position successfully. It always makes things worse cause they don't know what they are doing and they never have side spotters as well. That dude center spotting a 1000lb squat is probably the most nervous person in that building lmao

My diet went to pure hell which was probably the biggest issue. Drinking more than usual too. I'm still lifting 4 days a week but still not my usual activity.

It needs to end after this week. I need to drop the 10lbs and get back to training for a 50 miler in May. Also have a road HM PR attempt scheduled for April if the race is allowed to be held.

I only have a Strava for work step counting competitions. Which doesn't work out well because people just think I cheat anyways. I follow Billy Yang and that's all.

I wish I had the mountains near me like you do. I'd never be inside. I'd do all my work meetings on my phone in the wilderness lol

What altitudes are you working with out there?

I quit my job in the big city to move across the country for the ocean, mountains and family. Took a 30% pay cut and have never been as happy.

It's really tough because I'd be leaving family. My brother and sister and nieces and nephews are in the midwest. I was a military brat and moved all over the world and spent the first 18 years of my life away from my family, not doing that again.

Wouldn't mind taking a year for an adventure though. Bad news is, where I want to live is probably $7,500-$8,000/mo in rent for a 1 bd 1 bth.

My home in Breckenridge would be worth $1.5 mil. I wish this was like Texas where I could put my house on a semi and move it (and my house would probably fit on one without the garage).

Plans are to spend a month out there this summer. Don't think there will be a time when living there is realistic.

But I'm living my minimalist lifestyle, investing my pennies, lets see if the dream can happen one day.

Go somewhere else  y’all are making Texas expensive but we don’t make the big bucks like y’all. Average income in my hometown was like $35,000.

people from Cali move out here and raises the cost of houses so where the locals and small town people can barely afford to buy land for their family like their parents did for them.

No Texas actually has a pretty good cost of living compared to the US (depending where you are at, big cities are obviously more pricey). I just mean in TX I thought you guys had a lot of areas where you basically have homes you can fit on a truck and move. Like the home is bought at an auction and then you move it to your land. At least I saw it on HGTV so it must be real.

Telluride, Vail, Aspen, Breck, Frisco all make Cali seem like a moderate COL. The difference is CO doesn't suck your soul out through your asshole in taxes.

That's what I want. I want my little shack house, put on a semi, and moved out to the rockies.
