I just realized that's like 5 years old and everyone but me has probably seen it

 

Well, we still got xmas bonuses at work this year, so that's cool. Was half expecting we wouldn't

 

these are both great


we are on very different levels today it seems

 

damn, that is a pleasant surprise.


No annual bonuses or raises for us til at least 2022. I am a little bitter about it

 

Bro you can hit play on anything UKF and I’m ready to party like it’s new year on 1999. Lol

 

I would be too, though I am still grateful to be full-time employed that's for sure. This year has been wild, doubtful much will change for at least the first half of 2021 too.

 

As for raises, they haven't said anything official to us but yeah I can't expect they would for us either. I've asked and gotten one every year I've worked here (5.5 years now), but I won't be asking anytime soon this year. Gonna have to play it by ear once things "normalize" again.

 

Got the cat a window platform for Christmas, so need to pull the blinds from these guys in preparation

I look at these photos and all I see are about a dozen things that need to get baby-proofed asap

Oh and a cute claw monster

 

the mirror with lights on it is probably a baby nightmare

 

Lololol yeah our place is prolly a fire hazard or two in each room. All in time

 

Luckily it's a battery operated light set, more of a strangulation hazard

 

That's probably the first thing she'd go for lol. She loves mirrors, but yeah...lights on a string and an unsecured mirror sitting on the floor = baby danger

 

Ah yeah it falling too is a risk, nasty thought

 

I had to secure a bookshelf to the wall last weekend, because she's walking all around the house now (holding on to stuff, but still walking) and she makes her way to the bookshelf and starts to yank back and forth on it until it starts to rock back and forth lol. Books and other things were about to come falling off. I swear every day she finds something else I didn't think needed baby-proofing that suddenly does.

We have to get covers for the oven dials because she's almost able to reach them when she shuffles into the kitchen. Got locks on every cabinet and drawer already

I can see it now... Bottom cord pull, glass container pulls off mantle and hits kid or shatters on kid. Then kid proceeds to chew on plugs / surge protector.

 

surprisingly she isn't a big fan of cords, at least not yet. We haven't had much trouble with her messing with the xmas tree or lights, other than trying to pull off ornaments every now and then. Our cats are more problematic with the tree, they keep eating the pine needles and barfing them up all over the house

 

Word of advice, secure any dressers to the wall if they aren't already. Had mine pull the drawers out and try to climb on it. Damn thing toppled forward and he nearly became a statistic. That afternoon, all dressers/chests were secured. Scary shit to find your kid standing next to a 6 drawer chest toppled over on the floor.
