I used to be a huge fan of Sony. I've had multiple TVs over the years from them. Up until recently. I had a 900 series 75" Bravia and the main board failed on it 2 months outside of warranty. So at 14 months of ownership I basically had a dead $4000 TV. Sony more or less told me to eff off. Lots and lots of stuff online about main board failures on all Bravia products. Their quality is complete garbage now and their customer service is even worse.

This is why i went with the long bed. If I wanted the ultimate offroad vehicle, I would just get a Wrangler. But if I am going to get a pickup truck, then get the full bed so it can do pickup truck stuff (with some offroading on the side).

Yeah. I could never be an SUV guy. The number of crazy and fun things and amazing deals I've gotten because I could load it up and take it home on the spot.

I don't even bother with a tonneau cover because I use the bed of my truck constantly.

I do like the color of that truck.

Those giant TV’s crack me up. I dumped television seven years ago when I realized I was paying in excess of a hundred dollars a month to watch the one or two channels that I was actually interested in. After this many years I couldn’t imagine wasting that kind of money on something that lowers the collective IQ of everybody in the room when it is switched

But to each their own and if that’s what makes you happy, then more power to you. Enjoy your new toy.

I hear ya. Loud and clear. And mostly agree.

Counterpoint. When you work in a high stress job/environment that physically and mentally taxes you - like, "I just ran a marathon while taking the GMATs... every day this week" kinda stress - having some mind numbing TV bliss vegetative state is a complete sanity saver. Stupid, dumb, beautiful television. If I read between the lines correctly, that's the kind of year 2020 has been for the OP.

Go melt your brain to your heart's content, OP, so you can continue saving others people's. Again, thanks for being on the front lines.

Agree to both points. Cable is a disaster and has become way too expensive for what it is, especially if you're only watching a channel or two. I dropped cable a loooong time ago and now only subscribe to streaming services for ~15/month. Still need internet, but at least you're not paying over $100 for your entertainment per month. Plenty of options out there for that, and this way, you also only pay for the content you use.
