Charlotte, NC area: hate on OP, houses, boats & hoes

I just got accepted into East Carolina University, should I attend?

My top 5 schools are:
1) East Carolina University (accepted)
2) Radford University (accepted)
3) Western Carolina University (awaiting decision)
4) UNC-Charlotte (haven't applied yet)
5) UNC-Wilmington (haven't applied yet)

other schools I applied to/will apply to (probably not)
West Virginia University, UNC-Greensboro, Queens University, Catawba College, University of South Carolina, Appalachian State University, Montreat College, UNC-Asheville

 

we're you good at math? You're No. 1 skool excepts you and your asking us?

 

What are you planning on majoring in? All of those schools are just about identical in terms on prestige. Depends on what degree you want and what you want to do after college.

 

I did three years at UNC Charlotte and ended up finishing my degree (BSBA) at Appalachian. Neither school was better than the other. Guess it depends if you wanna go to school in the mountains, close to the beach, or somewhere in between.

Personally I would have went to UNC Chapel Hill if I were to do it over again. I was accepted but declined due to a needy GF who wanted me close to home at the time...

PS - don’t let a GF dictate where you want to go to school, you’ll regert it later.

The only regret I have is waking up this morning. Fawk my shoulder is on fire and can't get my shot until end of Jan.

 

better than the alternative of not waking up today ha ha any day above dirt is a good day in my mind

Getting old sucks

 

I will add, don't go to college with a GF. Stay single for those 4years. Almost evreyone I know who had one going in regretted it and the relationship usually failed anyway. Que the tales of preschool sweethearts who went to college 4000miles away from each other and they are now happily married, but I'm going off the averages here!

It's 2020 you can learn more reading and watching lectures on youtube than you can/will in college IMO. College is for growing as a person. Exception being if you NEED the degree to actually get hired (doctors and stuff like that). Back to my porch to shake rakes at the hooligans on bmx bikes raising heck in the street...

 

I would do engineering if I were doing it again.

Yea same, but I'm HORRIBLE at math. I wish I was better at it because it really opens up doors doing some cool stuff.

 

I thought hard about that after high school. Ended up joining the Air Force instead. Looking back, I think engineering would be cool but I'm glad I didn't. The engineers I've met are the most anal retentive people I've ever met.

 

I worked with a few like that. Maybe not all are?

If the possibility were there for me go to the armed forces and get paid to become a Dr., engineer, pilot, IT smarty pants, etc. I'd sacrifice 8-12 yrs getting paid to learn vs paying 100g to learn

 

1000% i use the now old saying your education is only as far as the nearest library. Higher education is essential learning what those that came before us self learned without school and now we study.
