Was working on installing some fog lights when I got home from work. I got them almost completely installed except for putting the fender liner back together when I started my truck up to turn the wheels and check the fogs out. I noticed my truck was ticking pretty badly as soon as I started it and it never went away even after a few minutes of running. It only has around 4000 miles on it. Is this normal?

I hear it in mine too. I have around 2500 miles. Notice more in the truck then outside the truck.

Normal, especially when idling for extended periods.

^^^^^....my IS350 also has a 2GR 3.5 in it. Same engine in its basic form and it ticks similarly just like the truck, it’s just a characteristic of it.

Its the famous "Toyota Tick." Normal, and it does it on my 2006 Sport.

It’s the ticking of mechanical fuel injectors, it’s famous in the 2nd gen as well. Nothing wrong.

2017 3.5 ticking here! Has done it since I got it.....I’m at 58,061. You’re gonna be ok. It’s really noticeable at the drive thru window at times.
