Hey OP, appreciate you being this active ina thread started a while back. About ready to pull the trigger on this for my 2013 4x4 sport. Does all the info and updated information in the original post still hold true? Any other recommendations?

 

Original post is kept up-to-date. Osram 100/90w SuperBright bulbs + Headlight Services power switched/conventional harness.

I also assume that overdriven hid bulbs suffer the same light vs. life trade off? So the 150’s “should” last longer than the 200’s.

Whoops, one more question. Do the Phillips bulbs also suffer from manufacturing location? Osram from EU has always been preferred, but is the same for Phillips? Amazon has the Phillips with one day, vs. 5-10 days from Powerbulbs for Osram or Phillips.

I bought a set of Philips +200 from PowerBulbs on Black Friday. I’ve since decided to go with the Osram 100 W. If anyone would like to buy the +200 from me they are unopened and I can get them to you far quicker than PowerBulbs out of the UK. I haven’t received them yet but once they’re in my hands I can get them shipped out to you that same day. I’ll cut you a discount too to save me the return shipping and processing back to the UK. Yup, non-German Osram are chit.

 

I dunno. Seen some righteous good quality out of Europe. Not talkin’ Bulgaria but most of the super high end Philip’s lamps I use come outta Europe. I guess it depends on the application.

 

From what I can find
Standard Philips 2500 hours
+150 2000 hours 4800k
+200 2000 hours 4200k

I’m not certain if Philips does any HID capsule manufacturing in China or if it is only Europe.

Someone should really move on @rolot2 's offer. My CarBulbs Direct order for these disappeared from the UK after 3 weeks and I'm waiting to hear how to resolve with them @ $41 shipped. And what ever the new shipping time is.

I was really impressed with the CBI bulbs I had on my TL with ZKW-R clear lenses.

 

I ordered a set of the Osram from Powerbulbs about 3 weeks ago and have yet to get a shipping confirmation or a reply

 

Did you email them? They are a very reputable seller.
