PK3B6-35JS0 is the PN for both the DC short bed or ACLB.

Edit: used this for my truck

Just wanna chime in. I installed the factory tailgate lock a few weeks ago. Super easy, there is a thread somewhere that has the factory install instructions.
Took about two and a half beers worth of time. Great quality and fairly quiet.

Added one to my 2020 Tacoma, super easy and very useful. It should have been included as standard equipment.

Does it work on 2016? Everyone that comments seems to have 2018+

I installed it on my 2017 so I see no reason the '16 should be any different.

That's what I'm assuming too. Digging through the forum now looking for someone to say it worked on 2016.

    Really dumb question

my dealer offered it for me on my 2021 OR

I use my truck at home depot all the time

right now I take my cart to back, drop bed and put things in. Thats in my SR tacoma

the OR has the unlock on the door handles

so for me woukd I have to take my fob and unlock it everytime - then I can open the bed ?

Just wondering if it will be worth it or more inconvenient

    Appreciate the help

For my double cab short bed I used PK3B635JS0 from the https://parts.cobbcountytoyota.com/p/91139371/PK3B635JS0.html

    $136 and free shipping.

I ordered one for a 2019 since it wasnt an "option" for a 2017, as long as you get the bed length right thats all that matter. Installed it last night, everything fits awesome and just plugs right in. Really nice kit.
