    Only time will tell. It's just a hunch considering the clip distances left to right and that the upper clip needs to be bent to fit. Once the metal is yielded, the strength is reduced.

    Gotcha- I know it’s a different connection than the passenger side but I wasn’t sure if it was drastic enough of a difference to have strength concerns. Definitely makes sense to have concern about metal being bent- in addition to the more frequent use of the drivers side (at least on my truck).

    Yeah. The passenger side had three legs on the clips. The left has only two.

    I will hope get to adjusting it later today.

    This extra leg and juicy weld is there most likely to brace the clip when folks yank on it. It is not there on the left side and now we have to deform the upper clip to get a good fit and easier installation.
