I usually wear Prana stretch Zion pants but they get caught on my chain occasionally if I don’t tuck them into a sock or cinch them in some way

I'd be making some real good movies then. Probably wouldn't be able to share them on youtube.com though. :militarypress:

Oh gotcha. I actually haven’t ridden in pants before. Shorts only and some taller socks. My legs just don’t get cold very easily.

It won’t stop you from using them but it gets annoying. I wear them when I’ll be at a bike park since I am only pedaling sometimes

Probably gets quite a bit colder where you ride too. Coldest I’ve ridden in is about 40-45 degrees so far.

SC/NC is actually usually pretty nice to ride in temp wise! But my schedule usually means it’s an early morning ride for me in the lower 30’s but warming up from there

let me know how they do on your ride!

Are they the Zion straight? They fit a little tighter against the leg than the regular ones.

I love mine and ride with them a decent amount and they've never got caught in the chain.

Probably not given that mine catch a few times a ride! At least enough to rub and notice

The stretch Zion material is my absolute favorite, usually the only pants I wear, so I just tuck the right leg into my sock if it’s cold enough to need pants

    not enough.
It's not too bad. Probably pretty true to sizing on their website. I'm on medium pants right now. Small could also fit for me.

A little loose around the ankle. Maybe a bit too loose for riding unfortunately.

I have the jorts and they are TIGHT...super stretchy but definitely skinny jeans. I don’t wear them much since I haven’t really worn that style since like middle school haha

Just got an oh-so-sweet 15% off Worldwide Cyclery discount code which means that now I have no choice but to order myself a set of i9 wheels.

I’ve been set on the Enduro S Hydra’s for $975 since they are the best bang for buck but since I like to buy once and try once, should I go with something crazier? Enduro 305? Carbon? I’m running Raceface wheels right now with crap 18° hubs so this will be a huge upgrade. I’ve never ridden carbon wheels. I also just can’t believe I’m looking at spending also $1k on bike wheels.. help.

I just bought Enduro 305’s. Haven’t ridden them yet due to working to much and not being able to finish installing my drivetrain. But as soon as I opened the box and looked at them, I knew the purchase was worth it. The build quality, the beauty, the screaming hub. They are also 300 grams lighter than my stock aluminum wheels. 10/10 would recommend.

To better answer you question about carbon hoops, can you tell us what kind of terrain are you riding, what bike it's going on, riding style, bike feel preference?
Carbon isn't always the answer, and layups and design are so different from each other that there's as much difference in feel and performance between them that they have significantly different applications.

Wifey told me to go riding before the end of the year. Took a impromptu southern Utah trip to St. George and Virgin.
While I couldn’t recruit anyone to come with at the last minute, I thoroughly enjoyed some alone time in the desert. Going solo also meant I had to walk away from some of the bigger lines, and I had hoped to ride Flying Monkey and King Kong, but that’ll have to wait for next time. Some pics from the winter solstice camp and ride.

Since I’m in the Northeast we have a lot of tight and twitchy terrain with lots of ups and downs with rarely any downhill sections that last longer than a minute. I don’t mind slow riding and I’ve come to enjoy the steeper rockier down parts more and more. I guess it involves a lot of going up and over 1-3ft rocks. Almost like bunny hopping over things and trials. Lots of pedaling over small rocks and roots in between.

This shop video captures exactly what we ride:

Not sure why I even showed up at work today, so I'm screwing around with bike stuff.

I don't hate it nearly as much as I thought I would...
