How do you get the amber DRLs??? Is there a wiring harness that keeps the turn signals on without the rear signals being on?

Thank you very much! It's a labor of love(and money:()
    No chargers here....
bed and fender flares were spayed on by myself using RAPTOR LINER. Highly recommend!
I appreciate the kind words. It awesome because my passion is really modding and making cool parts. And if I can sell some to fund my addiction, it's a WIN-WIN.
Thanks! At heart I am a car guy, so some of my taste(jdm inspired) is reflected in this build.

I don't keep anything hidden or on the down low. Life is just so busy and the Taco is one of many builds...so sometimes I can forget to update. That's all! I don't have a Youtube(well I do but it's only for product install how-to's) And I am also on IG. Again, mostly to post new product development pics but sometimes I will throw some Taco updates here and there.

So..why am I pulling the motor after all the twin turbo work?? Simple answer-I blew the engine. No one to blame but myself. After everything was installed I went out to the back roads and did some full send pulls. I was not datalogging, and was still on a unrefined ecu tune...which was risky. 3rd gear kicked in and I heard some crackling sound(detonation) and then lost power with white smoke billowing out the exhaust. After diving into it, found cylinder 3 was full of oil and no compression. Haven't ripped into the block to find the real cause yet. I am not mad by any means, I was fully prepared for something to happen(that's the risk we take when modding). But now I can finally pull the anemic V6 and shift happy transmission for a REAL motor.

No harness. I pulled the headlights apart and converted them to amber

    Current status of the Tacoma:
    Pulled the motor and transmission;

Cherry picker wouldn't lift high enough, so I had to improvise using the kids swingset:rofl:[IMG]

    So much room for activities!

    So what's going in!?!?
I can't spoil it yet... but let's just say it will have around 1,000HP. That should light the 37's up no problem:devil:
It has never been done in a 3rd gen, so this will be a first. The motor is getting built right now I should have it mid January. I have a lot of prep work to do in the meantime; cleaning/shaving the engine bay, welding up all unnecessary holes, tucking wires, and making it looks clean so the motor will be a focal point when you pop the hood. As for the electronics... the vehicle wiring will stay in tact(interior electronics, start switch, etc) however, the engine will be on it's own Haltec standalone computer. Which will have it's own new dedicated LCD gauge cluster (IC7). I am working on molding the new display into the stock cluster. Don't worry it will look factory when I'm done:D

Out of pure selfish curiosity, did you consider an EV conversion and rule it out more due to wanting to hit 1000 HP or did it not really bubble up to the level of consideration at all?

I would think you might garner a lot more attention from the press if you bested the cybertruck specs with an EV MESO 3rd gen, especially with the impeccable attention to detail on looks.

I suppose all the exhaust mods would be wasted with an EV and that might be one of the bigger reasons to stick with ICE?

Much thanks!! Here's to a new year which is hopefully less of a dumpster fire than 2020!!!
I will still be here supporting my fellow TW members and helping out/building cool stuff:D

It crossed my mind. I actually have a EV for the wife's car and I love it! At first I was skeptical, but I am now a believer in EV. HOWEVER.. I don't think it belongs in this application. The truck build goal was a mean, aggressive looking AND SOUNDING rig. I just couldn't pass that off if it took off in silence lol.
    Obligatory EV pics

Funny.. Calvo ACR is on my short list(when I hit the lotto haha). However that engine would take a TON of mods to fit. And.. I have a 1500HP car already that will keep up with some Calvo builds.

Actually... I was about to pull the trigger on a hellcat crate swap. But after thinking it over and over...a DODGE motor in a TOYOTA just sounded sac-religious.

    I have a video somewhere

Thatd be a ton for a swap. I had the pleasure of watching their Purple viper take a pull and it's mindblowing. 4 gallons/mile at full pull

Sweet! I mean sucks that it blew but a 1000hp Tacoma sounds better. It would be really cool to see a stroker/built taco motor going back in.
