This it costs on average around 100g to become any sort of commercial pilot. Then couple that with most pilots don't make what everyone envisions they do because of pilots from the major airlines. It's kinda like the lawyer stigma thinking every lawyer is rich and makes buku 6 figures.

Holly only made like 52k a year her first year out of law school. And a lot of small time attorneys never make much more than that.

My dad got super lucky in the coast guard. Went in out of high school enlisted as a buoy tender. Then he became one of the first 5 rescue swimmers. Went to officer candidates school and somehow became a helicopter pilot flying hh60 Jayhawks. Full retirement after 27 years and now flies helicopters for hospitals.

Yep. It's the big timers that skew the median pay and make people think it's more profitable. It still takes a lot of drive and determination to get somewhere and what kind of law you choose to practice. My cousin made ok money as a prosecutor, my uncle makes a lot better money as the county attorney, my other uncle made really good money as a civil lawyer, and my last uncle was even better since he eventually made it to be a circuit court judge (presidentially appointed kind).

He's a badass, those rescue swimmers aren't no joke! If you're old enough to remember the TV show rescue 911 they pretty much had a CG rescue in every episode.

Signing up for $200k in law school debt is pretty easy if the average pay is $260k a year. Then you find out 1 guy is making $2M a year and the other 9 aren’t clearing $70.

Exactly!!! Can't always just look at the surface. But of you got the drive you could be that 2M dude you just can't assume it's a given getting a law degree.
