    I seem to recall that some component(s) of it are an official Toyota part. If you look at early development pictures, the covers (ironic) have texture right from the start while the handle and molding do not.

    There is a bit of a risk of these getting damaged in the mail though. Mared, broken, lost, etc.

    I would think local exchanges would be the best bet. Otherwise, we might as well wait for KTJO to pay for the shipping back and forth?

    But if it does happen, count me in. Can’t sit around forever waiting on KTJO to respond to an email....

    LoL! That is just sad if they used an existing, opposite part number.

    Any way, before this whole clusterfuck started, I had wondered if we couldn't use another RH handle and just make a couple printed or molded bezels. Given the reality of it all, that may still be a better route. :rolleyes:

    Although, if you look at the mounting side of the handles that have been posted, you will see that the shape of the upper and lower mounts are not symmetrical. So, it is a mirrored part only.

    That’s my concern as well, especially with those pallets going out early on to TacomaBeast. Worst case, every one of those has all tops or all bottoms.

    If it is an existing part that comes as an assembly with the handle, hardware, and covers - how did the covers get all mixed up?

    I don't think it's an OEM part... I think KTJO and Co. copied the part number and created a BS label. I wouldn't read too much into it.

    Does the part (handle) have the part number embossed into it? I'd die laughing if the part number was embossed backwards, since the part is a mirror of the passenger side.

    Got mine in. I did a little bending on the top bracket with the bolt threaded to get it to line up. But it’s still really strong. I pulled hard on it and it’s solid (that’s what she said!)

    I don't recall seeing a P/N on the handle. Could be wrong.

    Nice! It feels pretty stout without bending the clip. I'm just thinking long term and could be very wrong.

    Ok. I didn't have to tweak mine at all, probably why I'm confused. The angle wasn't perfect, but it's good enough. I wasn't aware the passenger side had more reinforcement.

    I'm not exactly a featherweight myself, and I have to step over a rock slider.

    She responded quickly to my e-mail to exchange@ktjo4x4.com. I have tracking for a replacement cover with a return label included.

    What I'm experiencing is 180 degrees from what some of you are describing. I'm not going to claim my experience is definitive, but man, some you are really coming across as jerks on this thread. Maybe trying being nicer in e-mails? Goes a long way.

    It was an honest hour of messing around to get the upper bolt started. The handle had to be unseated, the trim tweaked, and the bolt pried on. It wasn't good at all.
