Im needing some more caster. My camber is 0.5+ and my caster is still low.

Whats a good but budget upper arm with more caster? (SPC isnt budget friendly)

    2wd pavement princess, mild lift.

JBA is a lower cost, but definitely not "cheap" as far as quality goes. They're awesome UCA's. Mine have been abused pretty good, and I can't complain at all.

For real, I'm looking specifically for a set. They are awesome from everything I hear. He doesn't do sales ever, because he always prices them low. But they are a great product. Just need to make sure your wheels work with them if you got after markets.

Yup, and customer service was great. He pulled a set off the line for me before powdercoat, because I didn't want them in red. I though it might look a little goofy with the yellow/teal dobinsons suspension.

He'll also send you some awesome stickers and patches if you ask!!

Ive wheeled my truck through plenty of places that require double lockers and full skids and never had an issue with my SPC. Had them on for 3 years almost.

you had someone that understands them install them or yourself.. its just one extra thing that could break. me personally I’m not paying off-road shop labor prices to install some UCA’s when there are other very solid cheaper options lifetime guaranteed out there that come modified for caster correction that bolt right on

Yes i installed them myself along with every other part on my truck. The spc ball joints are are massive 36mm that in a sealed in closure and properly greased every oil change is very unlikely to fail in at least 100k of heavy abuse. Not to mention the bonded rubber bushings that the control arm bolt goes through. You also have more caster adjustment than any other arm with being able to add +4 degrees. Not saying other options arnt good but SPC is defiantly not something that is cheap and will fail. Not to mention all the adjustment you can get out of them. They are basically a must have to run 35's with very little cutting. If people are saying they failed in the first 20k miles or so they didn't install correctly and didn't service them. User error.

i have high 3’s caster now once I install these new 285’s I plan on trying to push it up closer to 4.5 or so JBA claims it can be done. they also have the bonded bushings I believe.. Are the SPC’s greaseable at the control arm?

No They dont because they dont need them. Its a sealed joint and not polyurethane like comes on every other control arm. Plus its rubber so its much tougher. JBA have something called a Synthetic Elastomer bushings whatever that is.

Rockauto.com lists the Mevotech Adjustable control arms at $191 and $259 for the left and right UCAs. I've read on other forums that they are repackaged SPCs. The images sure look like SPC control arms. I have not ordered them, but Rock Auto has pretty good return policy, so you could order a set and have a look.

I just installed the JBA uca on my truck over the weekend and just walked in the house about 20 minutes ago from picking it up from the alignment shop. They made a huge difference in my ride quality and caster is set at 2.8 I say give them a shot.

if you go SPC, def get the set with xAxis joints at the frame and the greaseable ball joint. Love mine makes at home alignments a piece of cake.

Stay away from used SPCs. The first 5 years of their production you couldn’t get more than 5k miles before they were whooped, and the welds were weaker than a millennials feelings.
