    A thing or two...
Natural gas furnace and I have a fireplace. Hope to start collecting wood and setup the fireplace (need grate, screen, etc), so I can make use of it next winter.

You can have some of my cold! Currently 6, feels like -19.

For heat, my first house had an oil furnace but we replaced it with natural gas and central air. Second house was natural gas, as is my current. There's also 2 gas fireplaces.

The pharmacy run was pretty uneventful for me but I'm betting the person in the Challenger would have a few different comments. They were going about 15mph and braking constantly when I was comfortable doing almost 30. A few blocks away from my house visibility was so bad I couldn't see past my hood in spots. My wife would have been griping at me to turn around so I'm glad I went alone.

I got a little wood in because it’s supposed to rain all day tomorrow then be bitter cold (to me anyway). Don’t have anywhere to put much more so hopefully this will do. It’s 90% oak, 10% poplar.

We heat with propane and wood pellets.

After finding out more. It involved the tanks used for nital etching parts. Safety director poured something into the nitric acid solution. Caused a cloud that smelled of rotten apples.
Because it involved the safety director we may never know the whole story.

We use wood most days, but have a boiler for hot water and baseboard, and a heat pump as well. It’s nice to have options.
