@OVTune In regards to "priority" when getting responses from OVTune, I have some concerns. I paid $600 back in the first week of December. After receiving my cable in the mail I was finally able to send out my ECU ID email on Thursday 12/17. I have sent a couple of follow up emails with no response. I also read that after today they will be shutting down till 4 Jan. I am excited for this and am eagerly awaiting my Tacoma Tune pack information, but these delays are unacceptable. If a company charges you $600 bucks right away so they can get paid, then a customer should not have to wait weeks on end to get what they paid for.

Sorry for the rant folks but I spent hard earned cash during a pandemic hoping that a "tuned" truck would help lift my spirits... I now feel like I lost out on money (Order# 7802)

 

Please be sure to check your email Spam folder, because several times we do send them and it ends up in spam.
And we are still sending out tune packs until all are sent out for pending tickets.



Also for everyone reading, please understand sending us multiple NEW emails will not get you a response faster. It will actually pretty much guarantee you get a response slower. This is because all new emails are unassigned by our email client until we go through and sort them.

Like practically any business, you get charged at the time of order. We did also announce ...at least 6+ weeks ago that the holiday orders have been overwhelming and there will be delays.

So please understand that if you order during the holiday rush, do not be surprised by delays, and do not blame us. We announced it well over a month ago.


Finally, a big problem we are having right now is people ordering with one email, and contacting with a completely different one.

Ok so two things, as I’m guilty of both of these comments without knowing. I sent an email not asking for tune pack but asking for guidance on whether I could still tune the truck after the tsb update to 04b33. I’m a flash kit owner and ordered via a yahoo email. Sent a second email requesting the tune pack through my gmail account due to having ordered vftuner through that email somehow but I remembered you saying something before about using same email as you ordered from.

Anyway this is why I have sent you multiple emails. One was Thursday last week and one this morning because I was advised to and you also said that it fell under one of the priority requests.

Anyway only saying all this for clarification for myself to you as I now see that I’m possibly a problem now or in the future due to the two emails. I’m sorry for that.

As stated before no rush either way for me. Be glad to wait if it helps the other guys get their first time orders done. Guys waiting you should definitely enjoy it when you get it installed to the truck.

 

Is it worth updating? I’ve got 04b30 with 2.0 final (don’t have VF).

 

I havent heard a lot yet on 04b33 (people have been waiting for tune support) but in my experience, every TSB has been worthwhile. I started on 04b12 upgraded to 04b13 and currently run 04b14. Each one has been noticeable and then add the tune on top. It’s gotten better and better.

Hello everyone.

We have been getting several messages about a rumor that I, or an OVTune employee am coming to Colorado to tune a bunch of trucks there in person.
I don't know where this rumor is coming from, and no person affiliated with OVTune is going to be tuning trucks in Colorado, so be careful out there.


If anyone knows who is spreading this information please let us know

To be clear I have never claimed to be affiliated with OV other than as an individual who tunes on the side and does so following all of OV's guidelines. I would never want to take credit for the incredible work that May has done, or intentionally mislead anyone as to who I am or who I am affiliated with. This isn't the first time I have had people assume I am a part of OV due to my tuning and sharing of information about the benefits of OV software, but I assure you all I never claim to be OV.

 

If it is you they are talking about, a simple comment letting them know you are a 3rd party, that would be great. I am only going by what others are telling me so I figured I'd make a comment about it.

this dude is pulling a lot of the facebook community. he did discuss the use of this logo and flashing files when an admin cross posted the unauthorized tuning info from here two weeks ago.

Absolutely. I never try to pass myself off as you or your company and will continue to do so. Not sure how it came back to you the way it did, but I will continue to, and double the efforts to ensure there is no confusion.

That is absolutely not me. Sadly there are a number of people out there who I would say are legitimately misleading people to believe they are affiliated with OV, but I absolutely do not. I firmly believe that Mat's software and the effort he has put into it deserves all the recognition and support.

 

Chan Chan guy is actually legitimate, he owns every tune pack and tons of credits. Except using the logo...


As far as some of the other comments... well that is why we have to change our software to VIN verification.


Some people are, some are not. At the end of the day we will update our software that will weed all of this out.

Just as a general statement that I'm trying to make is : there are legitimate folks offering legitimate services. None of them however *work* for us.
