Ever run into issues after making your pocket? I plan to try something similar.

FYI, I ordered a panel on their Black Friday deal and got it installed last night. MH is now including a bag with 4 longer 10mm hex head screws that are longer that replace the OEM screws for the center screws on the bottom of the panel. That said, there is another TW member that ordered one that did not get the longer screws in their package. I emailed MH last night and got a response almost immediately confirming the screws were used to counter the reported issue of shorter OEM screws.
The holes on mine were slightly off when I first positioned the panel, however by going around the edges working from one starting point and alternating back and forth I was able to get the last hole aligned by the time I got to it.
Happy with the panel features and install, and looking forward to using it.

    The replacement screws.

Those 2 issues I have as well. The bottom hole alignment (but it did work) but the bigger issue is those damn bottom screws that keep popping out. I emailed them initially maybe a yr ago and they basically blow off my issues as normal. I’ve bought new white clips thinking that was it and it didn’t work, still just pop out. I know I could buy some at the hardware store but I’ve been looking (not currently cause I kinda gave up for the time being) for same size t bit and black but those maybe what I do if they have them available. I’m tired of the loose rattle every time I open/close my gate

Yeah, I wish they had done T bits on the screws, and I may hunt some down so I don't have to worry about two different tools to take it off. Granted, that won't happen very often.

I secret Santa’d myself one this year. Wifey wanted credit so it’s under the tree. With a baby on the way - I figured; Better knees for the trails, less spilt beer @ camp & I have a place to change diapers outside the truck. I like the cutting board idea, but I’ll just use my real wooden cutting board. Shits too expensive to carve up!

Also - looks like I gotta call to get them screws

Edit: Damn i just called Mountain Hatch & customer service is on point. They said to text my address to the phone # I called & they'll mail the screws today! That shit is fucking sweet! They texted back instantly!!!

Bought mine several weeks ago and it's been sitting in my garage. I'm glad to have learned about the shorter vs longer screws! Almost wish I ordered the bright orange one shown above. Looks super nice!

They can cut out cup holders but they can't cut out for the tail gate ridge? Their solution is longer bolts for a panel that doesn't sit flat? As this panel starts as a flat piece that is then machined, make it fit, as is shown here. Nice solution jstemp, even if it should be unnecessary.

I have one and really like it. It does have a downfall as it gets very slippery when it's wet and you try to walk on it. Downfall as in I was loading hay in the bed the other day in the blizzard we got and I went down like a sack of potatoes...

Man! And I paid the $5 like a sucker

I think the "fitment issues" are over hyped. Yeah it should probably just come with the longer screws, but the rest of it fits fine once you torque it down.

Not a mountain hatch but I’m stoked on it. My buddy cut it from some aluminum scrap he had at work.
