@oemaudioplus One thing I missed is where are the extra components (amps/dsp) fitting in the cab?

I understand this is more in tuned for interior quality sound as opposed to your typical full blown aftermarket sound systems, but I think it’s one of those, need to hear for them selves kind of deal. Then will probably be worth it. I’m curious how big of a difference it is compared to the JBL. I mean jbl system isn’t horrible. But it isn’t the best either. Im just wondering if the difference is worth $2600.

heck I may bite the bullet to try it out lol

How do you have your JBL setup? Low/ Mid/ Highs, balance and fade? This is the first time I’ve had this much difficulty finding my sweet spot. I know it’s all subjective.

I’m priced out of the OEM+ setup, unfortunately. Kinda bummed. Maybe when tax returns hit.

There are multiple options you can take. Unless you're like me and your motto is "go big or go home."

I’ll take a pic when I drive home from work. Just remember each source’s EQ will have to be adjusted. Example - if radio(am/fm) eq is set to your liking, you’ll have to set it again in usb/Bluetooth/etc. to make it uniform across the whole system platform.

Not sure about everyone’s but Mine does. When I first got My 19 pro, I had Bluetooth on and set where it was good for my liking. Then I changed it to usb and was wondering why it sounded funny. That’s when i discovered it.

“Life’s too short not to go big.”

But yeah...the $1800 is too much for me to be comfy without hearing or reading some legit reviews. And the all-in is just a bit much right now. I remember dropping a $150 H/U into my 99 Tacoma and thinking my cab had been transformed into a concert hall. Real important when listening to Dude Ranch with the windows down at 45mph.

Ditto. That’s how it was on my regular Entune, as well.

I find the worst part of the factory JBL system to be the mids and highs. The sub is nothing to write home about but I can live with that. It would have been nice if they could have come up with a system to keep the factory sub and replace everything else. Can’t be cheap to replace the sub. Then the pricing would have been more reasonable and that is something I probably would have seriously considered.

Plug and play is nice but for that price I’ll go out and put a better quality and sounding system together that meets the needs of my ears.

@oemaudioplus, any plans of allowing more customization when "building" on the website?

Edit, nevermind. It is an option already.

Doesn’t the $2100 option keep the sub but replace the everything else, or am I misunderstanding?

True, and for about $2.1k. Not much higher than other versions they offer.

Yeah I just saw that. It’s actually $3,300 for the full system with a intro price of $2,600 and $2,400 without the sub with a intro price of $2,100. $3,300 for the full system? Yikes! Nice that they do have options but just replacing the speakers and amp for over $2,000 just seems too much for what it is. But I guess ultimately it depends on how it all sounds. Looking forward to hearing some feedback from customers. And hopefully they have experience with nicer systems that they can compare it to and not just the factory JBL system as it wouldn’t take much to improve on how that sounds.

I also find it odd that when you click on the link they provided in the email that the system using the factory speakers is the default. I’m pretty sure if you took a toll the majority would think that the factory speakers are the weakest link.

At first I was pretty disappointed in the JBL, but if I’m listening to an HD station with the volume at 40+, it bumps and sounds pretty good. Otherwise, at lower volumes/non-HD stations it’s very underwhelming.

Was hoping to see multiple options in the 500-100, 1000-2000, and 2000+ range. Kinda hard to justify at this price range, when I could probably just swap the speakers for powerbass 2ohm or JBL 3ohm models for $300, and a pioneer sub for $180 and improve the sound “enough”.

Pass for now. I was hoping for a full replacement after the head unit. Oh well, back to my original plan.

This doesn’t make any sense to me. You wanted to upgrade everything but the head unit? That’s what they are selling, unless I’m missing something.

I honestly think they missed the mark. This looks like a great system but for the price they knocked out 85-90% of potential buys. They will definitely sell some of these amazing systems but if they also offered what was available back in June 2019 which was basically the same option as the 4Runner and Tundra JBL equipped trucks. This is their words (weheld off till we had an update of substance), we did showcase a prototype JBL Enhancement at TOYOTAFEST in Long Beach, CA (June 1, 2019) and at the time expressed interest in offering that option as-is. The Upgrade at the time was more in line with our other Enhancements (liken to the options we offer for the 4Runner and Tundra with JBL) If you haven’t seen what they offer for the 4Runner and Tundra go to their website and look and for around $800 for those systems they would of knocked it out of the park. Again not knocking what @oemaudioplus came up with I’m sure it will be a outstanding system but the price is just not practical for most.
