Yeah, I noticed the next day when looking through the passenger front window it had small droplet marks that were a pain in the ass to get off the Tint, it was actually on both sides all windows and lower windshield. Only the front windows with the tint film were the ones that were a pain to remove the drop like etch.

Just had mine done '19 4 banger. Everything seems good so far. Checked filler neck cause of this thread lol. Looks fine. Will fill her up and see if gas comes pouring out lol.

Noticed idle is much better. But might just be if they disconn the battery.

I have no idea if this is the right place to post this, if it isn't I'm sorry. I want some opinions and to see if anyone else is having the same problem that I am having.

To keep a long story short, I took my 2018 OR to my dealership in East KY on Monday, November 30th for the Fuel Pump Recall. I had only been home for 30 minutes after I dropped it off when the dealer called and told me that they broke a part and that it would be sometime the next week when I would be able to come pick up my truck. I said fine. I called them back on Wednesday of the next week, which was December the 2nd, they still had not received the part needed to fix my truck. They then told me it would be the 13th before they would even receive the part. I said fine. The 13th comes around and I call and they did not have the part. I asked when they would and they said by Friday of this week. I call Friday morning and guess what? They did not have the part and they said they had no ETA on when the parts would arrive and that it could be Monday or it could be months from now.

What should I do at this point? I contacted Toyota Corporate office a few days ago and they said there isn't much they can do except create a case# and investigate the shipping delay. I have been without a truck going on a month now and have no way of getting around and the dealership has no loaner vehicles to offer. They have made no efforts to compensate me in anyway.

first thing I would have done , is the day they broke the part, they would have brought me a paid rental Tacoma for as long as needed.

First off, did you go see what was broke. Second, are talking to the dealership manager or just the shop foreman. And 3rd, that's unacceptable to be without a vehicle especially when the damage was caused by them. If they have rentals rent one from them, then dispute it when you go to pick up your vehicle. No telling whats really wrong. Hell, the truck could be in the body shop cause they wrecked it going to lunch.

Got my fuel pump recall done today, took about 1.5 hours total. After I left I drove over to the lake just down the road to check the ice conditions (5 inches - perfect!) When I was getting out of my truck I noticed my back seat was flipped up and the jack handle bag was just sitting in there. So I looked around in it and noticed the wheel lock key was gone. So I started driving back to the dealer and I got a phone call from them. Before he even said what it was about I said "wheel key right?" he said "yeah, sorry about that". Lucky I was just down the street from the dealer, so I pulled in, got my key back, and talked ice fishing with the advisor for a bit.

    Overall recall went just fine.

Just got scheduled for this next week. She mentioned me removing any car seats, etc from back seat (I’m 56, no car seats). Mentioned I have a subwoofer behind the passenger back seat and an amp bolted to floor under front seat.... she checked with mechanic and said not a problem.

Can anyone confirm that their correct here and these won’t be an issue? Thanks.

The only reason they say this is that they take off the drivers rear wheel. They need to get under the seat to get the wheel key.

After you get it done, double check they put the wheel key back in too.

Well I really hate I'm having to post in this thread of all places! On the way home earlier today my 2019 3.5L with >19k threw the CEL as well as the No Trac light and lost all power then came to a stop (automatic). Restarted it with CEL still on then No Trac came back up with a little more power. I did make it home but with very little power. Luckily it was only about a mile but in bumper to bumper traffic! I looked up Vin and still says no remedy available. Called the dealer and they said to drive it in the morning or they can tow it? Also said they will give me a rental but no ETA on the pump availability.... Ughh it sucks, I have the next 6 days off and was about to sound deaden it into oblivion, start wiring for whole new audio system and wire up the ECT always on module. Kinda glad I hadn't done all that yet... I'm so bummed, I absolutely love my truck but this is some serious bullshit!

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience.

But please allow me to ask; since you have time off and the materials, may I bring my truck to you for your aforementioned installs? I feel this would be good for me and good for you to not go down a stressful and sad Christmas day. Let me know please.

I had my pump replaced this past Monday so really what I am offering you in this opportunity are the mods for sound deadening and stereo install.

Has anyone in here requested the parts that need to be changed out? I am swapping my fuel tank anyways, and would MUCH prefer to be the one working on my truck. Any insight on the best way to accomplish this would be appreciated.

I scheduled my fuel pump recall replacement about a month ago for my 19 trd offroad. I dropped the truck off this morning for the replacement for them to call about a hour later stating Toyota does not have a fix yet for my recalled fuel pump. Called Toyota corporate and got the same thing.

I was told my 19 OR was due for the pump replacement at my last oil change last month. They said I just needed to bring it in.

I wonder what would be different between them.

eta- was at oil change the beginning of this month

I doubt that would clear it off the NHISA recall list so you will keep getting reminders

Never going to happen. Just have it done at the dealer.
