    Same here. Have a 500 gallon propane tank for cooking and a wall heater for spring and fall. Pellet stove for the main heat, but it's such an awful electricity hog.

    You got off easy. Concentrated nitric doesn’t play well with hydrocarbon contaminants. When the same thing happened here a few years ago, the fumes ignited & caused an explosion. Two people with serious burns & a few million in damages. Pretty miraculous no one was killed.

    Our stove is 13/14 years old. The couple of years all the motors were replaced. This year we had to replace the control board.

    I think the blower motor needs replaced. It currently only has 1 speed.

    Heater? Nope, never use one. But, due to CA law, the house was built with one. Runs on gas.

    Heat gets turned on once the inside temperature hits 35 degrees I got tired of dealing with frozen pipes.

    5 years now so far so good thermostat is at floor level kind of reminds me of my youth with the only heat was a wood stove for cooking with a tiny fire box .
