That's not a bad price at all on that. Looks way more complete than a lot I see going for more, plus it has a title. Downtube cover is there, exhaust shields are all there, all the airbox pieces are there, the subtank and bracket are there.

A good carb cleaning, a new plug, a new battery, and a couple tires and I bet that thing would be running well.

I'm a fair-weather rider anymore. When all I had was a motorcycle, I hated the rain. Get to work and the only dry spot was the seat of my pants. Swore I always wanted to have a motorcycle but never wanted it to be my only transportation. (and it would always be garaged)
Cheers on the icy rides, please be as safe as you can.

Agreed! Looks like it's missing the turn signals and mirrors too. Not impossible to find if you want them though.

I’m glad the USB lights showed up on time. I was able to get them on and kinda wrap the panniers.

One of the guys I work with told me about a make a wish thing for a kid out here called Jeep’s for Georgie. They were looking for as many Jeep’s as possible and anyone else who wanted to partake in the parade so I decided to do the bike up for it and head over and wait to get lambasted for showing up on a bike. Fortunately there was a huge group of Harley riders I teamed up with! They provided the noise and I had the lights!

Great, great sensible choice for a first bike. One that you can keep forever. But if you were to let it go, you'd likely regret doing so, and wish you could have it back.

    Thinking about picking this up.
Guy said he parked it 3 years ago and hasn't started it since. says it wont turn over now, want a grand for it.
I think it probably just needs the carbs cleaned and fresh gas. Anyone have any knowledge on these bikes?
    Its a 1985 honda nighthawk cb700sc

Ahahaha that's amazing. Nicely done, sir.
Put it in gear and push it, see if the engine turns over, if you can. If it does then yeah, ain't much to it besides a battery and a carb to get it running again, assuming he hasn't mangled the wiring harness. I love the styling of 80's hondas.

I want one. I know I posted it before but here’s what Born MotorCo did with one of those:

Finally got a chance/ made time to ride today. Can’t remember how long it’s been but it felt strange at first. I realize all the putting around I’ve been doing lately on the ATC has messed with my counterbalance muscle-memory. For the ATC to handle you have to lean into the turn- almost trying to intentionally high-side. That lifts the inside rear tire so you can turn on two wheels. It’s the exact opposite on two wheels and i had to relearn that. I was fine after a couple turns.

I had a 1984 model for years. They are fantastic as an around town or even short highway bike. Hydraulic valves never need adjusting, but are sensitive to keeping the oil fresh. Shaft drive is nice. That one looks to be in good shape. Things to anticipate/look at include: 1 - The vacuum actuator on the fuel petcock will leak and not let fuel flow. 2 - the forks are 'air adjustable' for preload, I am sure they leak, but not really a problem as the springs were sufficiently strong. 3 - the rear shocks are no doubt toast, see if you can get some Progressive Suspension brand rears. The oil runs through the frame so there are 3 oil change drain points. In my opinion the oil changes are most important, the rest you can figure out.

I thought the same thing when I saw it. I'm jones'n for another dirt bike, though. Need to get the wife a KLX 140 and a 2 stroke for me. Finding a KLX is easy, but people are asking crazy prices on 125cc and 250cc 2 strokes right now. Ragged out 90's cr and rm 125's listed at $2k-$3k.

I lowballed a guy on a 2003 Buell Blast the other day. Only had 2,600 miles, but had been sitting for a while and needed a carb tune. Minor things, good bike overall. I offered $500 via FB messenger and then went to a work meeting. I forgot to check messenger until I got out of my meeting 2 hours later. The guy had replied and accepted the offer, however, when I messaged him back asking when I could come pick it up, they guy said he had someone on the way with $800. A few days later I check FB and see the bike listed for $2,200. Admittedly, I am a little glad someone else got to it. WTF would I do with a Buell Blast? Sell it for $2,200, I suppose. lol

Yeah, I have no need for it right now. People are asking insane prices for klx140’s, I am still looking as well. Also tempted to get a 110 it would be the perfect bike for the mini track I want to build in the yard.
