Found an Aero 7.5" 5.56 upper on sale and actually in stock, so naturally... I had to buy it... then of course I had to order everything else to make it a complete gun. Should have upper tomorrow, everything else by next week. Trying some new stuff this go around, Operational OAL should be ~19" without muzzle device.

I have 0 expectations from it other than it being compact and loud AF. Hell my 11.5” is painful without the can on it. I generally won’t shoot anything without it being suppressed, but even my shortest can will look weird on it. We’ll see.

All I shoot is 147s, but .40 is just as quiet I think thru my .45 can. I built 2 300blk ar’s but just couldn’t fall in love with the round. I do still want a short 300blk bolt gun. Nice setups you’ve got!

Not my first choice for mounting a scope for the akm platform however for $100 for a tws dust cover I’ll give it a go.

I’ve read about 70% positive anyone have first hand experience with it?

If you've got an optic rail spend the extra for an RS regulate setup. It's worth it's weight in gold. Not a fan of TWS looks. Had a buddy use one on his AK before he sold it. Wasn't impressed

I don’t have one yet just came across the deal and it was a impulse buy. I’ll try it out if it’s hot trash I can get my money back out of it or trade it.

My new wood handguard came in for the SAR build today. Fresh cherry wood will look so good on the build. Also bought a second SAR kit from Robert RTG to build a milled 545 rifle. Should be dope whenever I get around to building that one

I have a short 300blk and I agree, but only with subs. Shooting supers through it works pretty well, subs suck tho. They sound cool, but very little distance accurately.

You have to reset your expectations with subs. it's not an "accurate" long range weapon. It's actually not a long range weapon at all. However it serves a purpose. For close range (under 100 yards) it can/should be minute of pig. If you want an accurate 300 yard rifle, go with a 16+" barrel and shoot super sonics. it has more energy than the 223 and every bit as easy to load/shoot. There are some guys that can/have shot 2" groups at 200 yards with subs..... but those are very few and far between. My 300 BO AR pistol shoots 2.5" - 3" groups at 100 yards. And I am happy with that. I have other guns that I can use for more precise applications.

Edit: use the right tool for the job. This application has a purpose, and is very good at what it does.
