    2017 TRD Off-Road Model:

Has anyone found a cleaver way to jump a wire or trick the High Beam Relay to keep the Fog Lights ON when switching to High Beams ?

That is: Low, High Beams and Fog Lights all ON at the same time ?

I found a way to do this on my 300ZX sports car with a simple secondary ground wire to the Low Beam Negative wire on the back of the Bulb jumped to the chassis ground since the Nissan product opens a Relay in the Low Beam ground circuit when you turn on the High Beams and the Fogs always stay on with either LB/HB active ---- but not sure how the Gen-3 TRD OR relay works since I don't have a shop manual with wiring diagram for that model -

Anyone done this and could post some pix with wire color codes would be appreciated -

    thanx,

    david -

I’m no help... just genuinely curious...

What fog do you drive in where you wanna put your high beams on?
Or is this simply to look “cool”?

I don't think there is a simple solution for the 3rd gens as of yet but you can try posting in the 3rd gen forum and see if someone knows, theres usually not too many people hanging out in the technical chat forum.

Looks like the main body ecu controls that. Aftermarket fog lights or a Bright box would prob be you easiest solution. You could also rewire the factory fog lights. Disconnecting the beige wire from the main body and conecing it to ignition ground. Mabe by adding another relay. is illegal in some states but MOST techs doing a state inspection wouldn't care.Screenshot_20201224-095546_Samsung Internet.jpg

Not really any "Fog" to drive in per se -- just that I drive to work in the early morning well before the sunrise through rural/hilly areas with plenty of Deer around and like to have as much lighting as possible --- Recently upgraded the Low/High Beams and Fog Lights to Morimoto LED -- Wow - what a difference ! -- Just want to have them all on for max visibility -- hardly any oncoming traffic at that time in the morning in this area -

It's also good for fools who won't turn off their brights when approaching.........that little extra to maybe help them cop a clue. My bumper fogs and light bar are wired independent of headlights. Never had issue from popo or inspection techs.

The type of wiring Mod I am trying to install would turn off the Fogs when the HB's are cancelled -- Something I am quite cognizant of when driving so there would be no pissing off oncoming drivers for doing what I already do anyway - LB's + Fogs are not blinding -

why would you want them all on simultaneously? Bright lights and fog lights don't generally work well together in fog.

Edit - nevermind read your earlier post. I'll try to find some 3rd gen schematics and report back.

Yes, that's the idea -- All six "bulbs" have been converted to Morimoto LED and I have adjusted the H and L Beams (vertically) and shimmed the FL's ( R and L ) to fill in roadway and side areas between the front of the truck and approx. 30 yards out -- I drive to work in the very early morning in a rural area (i.e. lots of deer & zero street lighting) and want to have the best front and road edge area illuminated as possible - which requires all available sources to be illuminated - maybe even purchase more but really don't want to start hacking up the truck with mounting bracket holes if I can avoid doing so -
