I think I'm in the same boat - I would definitely invest 2k, but not going to be "gaming" with that much, even the 600 was kind of on the high end of what I would want to add to my monopoly fundage.

My vote - we keep it at 600 regardless.

How is discussing a congressional vote and a potential presidential veto NOT political?

Would you guys like this thread locked too?

It wasn't a discussion. It's a mention of a political event that has direct bearing on the worlds financial markets. No one discussed anything about it other then the implications it has on finance. In a finance thread. Maybe we can get some clarity from at @tcBob

    So political events aren’t political?
Tag @tcBob all you want. We have a firm zero politics rule on this site. This includes political figures, events, jokes, memes, photos, etc. There are plenty of places to talk about that kind of stuff on the internet. A Toyota enthusiast forum isn’t one of them.

It does have bearing on the financial markets but it's also a slippery slope to political shit flinging, which we then have to clean up

I tagged @tcBob because we used to have leeway in the original thread that you locked. Then all the sudden we didn't. Since I;m not privy to the inner workings of TW I'm asking the site owner for clarification. It could very well be that a new policy was implemented, the old policy was asked to be enforced more, or something else.

Ok, just seems to be a little heavy handed in here. If this was a stimulus check group buy thread for $600 skid plate trio, and someone said I heard it might get vetoed, so can we wait to order? And someone said worry not, it passed with a veto safe majority.....that’s a problem also?

I assure you that the moderation on this site doesn’t happen in a vacuum. I just gave you additional clarity on what politics means. If we give one thread leeway, we have to do it across the board.

It’s really simple guys, keep the politics out and the thread stays open.

    Gotta love the cross post.

I get that arguing politics will get you a ban. But it seems recently, ie the last year, you can't even bring them up anymore. I understand cutting the problem off at the source. The fact is the source isn't politics. It's the people that have to chest thump about them. Anyway, thanks for stepping in and verifying it was your choice to enforce those rules in that way.

    EDIT:

Damn that cross posting again. lol

Already was some political shit flinging by one person here and a moderator cleaned it up, so your point is valid.

Wait...is it a sign..or a symbol? This was an entire component of one of my college theology courses. (Went to a private catholic college so religion courses were required)

It was stated that not all states can do it or something to that wave length.
