Never had a catalytic wood stove but understand they have gotten better over the years. Makes sense that you have to clean them though. I took a heatilator and put it in line for the wood stove in my tent after I gutted the motor and electrical parts.

As a heat exchanger it works well and increased heat output by quite a bit. But now have to clean the tubes inside it in addition to the stack. Add more parts more to clean no free lunch. Hey at least I don't have to punch and clean the internal side of the tubes like a boiler :)

It’s the 11th hour. I’ve got to build a door today and put a railing around the upstairs access hole on the floor. Then it’s good enough to gift!

I’ll still have to put trim boards around the windows and corners, put on the roofing, build the deck rail & paint the trim. The wife hasn’t decided the trim color yet (hence the 2 different front post colors)
But it’s almost there! It’s going to be 80 degrees today, so I’m in shorts and a short sleeved shirt. Supposed to get cold tonight and be the coldest Christmas we’ve had since 1995 here!
I hope everyone here is ready for Christmas and is enjoying it with the ones they love!

    Hi Mike
    Hope your doing good.
    How's the pup coming along?
Haven't seen you around much. There's are bunch of new folks over at 50+ that need to to see your cooking creations.
I think that storm pretty much missed us. We got enough snow to cover the grass. We will have a white Christmas.
Now it's just the wind and below 0 windchill.
    Merry Christmas

Glad most of it is going to miss you!

Yeah been busy even more so than usual. Over the last week smoked a bunch of cheese and nuts for Christmas gifts which I delivered before the blizzard started yesterday. Also picked up a 3 bone prime rib to smoke tomorrow. And took some grouse out of the freezer to thaw this morning to do tomorrow also.

Pup is already 15 weeks old! Laying here helping me type

Typical Toller already lives to retrieve the bumper and birds. Threw for him this morning cold doesn't matter to him of course. Balls to the wall flat out after it

Been delivering to hand since 9 weeks old. Keep a 4' check cord on him to step on if he tries to run away from me in the house or even pen, getting older and working a little smarter these days LOL. Forgot just how low to the ground puppies are. And fast!

Think I'll keep him! :) His father hasn't really jumped on board with him yet and can almost hear the wheels turning in his head what is up with this young shit running around here?! Some jealously issues also. But all in all doing good. Looking forward to getting him on some live birds come Spring.

That could work if you take it slow and easy.

Most times I end up soaking wet from sweat then the blankets are damp which just makes things worse cold and damp

I no longer take any chances I am to old to house break another kid

It really seems any more my job is just asking did anyone read the users manual .

Then quote chapter and verse the machine is doing just what it should which is not a warranty claim
