    Hi everyone,

    I am new to this forum and am looking for the answer to a new problem that just popped up for me. I have had ablue Tacoma since February and absolutely love it!!! Yesterday, I was getting hay and tried to unlock the tailgate with the key fob and it would not work.. It unlocked with the physical key, though! Any ideas on how t o get the fob to work?

    The fob key doesn’t work in the tailgate on 2016’s. I believe this changed for the 17 models.

    Google “tacoma pop and lock” to solve this issue.

    No, I don't believe this was offered until the 2020 models.

    OP: there are mods out there that will allow for this, but not from the factory.
