Don't forget the hitch mounted grill and the TV mounted to the truck.

usually caused by not fully torquing the TPMS sensor when replacing service pack

driving on very low psi supposedly compromises sidewall integrity

Traction control is pretty overbearing on 2nd gens. Gotta turn that all the way off if you want to have any fun in the snow

Nice. I’d love to get rid of my current 4xinnovations plate bumper and do a high clearance one just like this. I totally don’t need it, I just love the look.

    So I gotta say I’m a idiot!
It’s been a long time since I’ve had cruise and a auto.
I’ve been enjoying running the interstate especially since traffic is lite right now.
My 4 banger 5mt took some thought before hills passing etc. The 6 has way more nut.
I’m in Vermont and it’s winter. Light snow didn’t think, set the cruise duh!
Downshifted on a hill and broke lose.
    The extra nanny features worked!
Kept it straight I felt the rears peddling from side to side. Guess I won’t be bitching about them anymore.

I would think this is an appropriate place for my question:

I am looking at a used set of TX Baja shocks. I read a few pages back some one noted that at 59k miles they were reaching the end of the Bilsteins life. The set I am considering has 60k. What would the jury say on these?

Also after reading, it looks like I will gain around 2” of lift in the front, and none in the back. I will need to install a different leaf pack or AAL. Has anyone found a good match to the fronts?

That opinion, I can say and I’m sure many will agree is complete bullshit. It’s not an opinion based on bias because I/we are Baja/pro owners either. I supposed if you wheeled the living shit out of any set of suspension aggressively it would go bad in 60k.

so the truth or my opinion is to evaluate the said set of Baja/pro suspension and if if it looks good meaning clean and wel taken care of and the price is fair, I’d go for it. The only issue some have had with this setup is a coil breaking. You can still find the oem red coils to replace them. Don’t let that scare you off, I wouldn’t.

For the lift, yes 2” in the front stock. Or you can go to toytec.com and buy the specific coil spring seat to give you an extra 1” without it affecting the components at all. Or, you can do what I did and buy a 1/2” top plate with the extended hardware to give you 3/4” to 1” of additional lift. The rear, if you don’t wanna replace you spring pack with say the icon rxt’ s or deavers, or a few choice other, you can get en progressive aal. You can get that from wheelers.com or icon. The progressive aal looks like a whole mini spring pack that gets added onto the existing oem springs. I ran this for 4 years as well as other without issue. That will raise you 1 and 1/2” in the back.

Thanks for the response. I am waiting on some photos, but the price seems fair to me. Another complaint I have read about these is the sub par coatings, especially compared to the PRO kit which apparently addressed the issue. If the set I am looking at are in good shape and bushings are not shot I am going to go for it.

I prefer the 0-2” lift, I don’t care to go over that since most miles on my truck are on pavement. I am thinking my rear packs are pretty tired, with any load in the rear it sits low. Not sure an AAL would yield the best results.

So stoked !!!! And this makes me want to put them on sooner. Just pick up back from the coater. I had the coat they came with stripped. Then I had them receramic coated in silver.

Did you find another set or are you referring to mine? I'm at 67k, and I don't know if I'm just getting old, or I'm comparing the ride to my wife's car, but I feel like my ride is pretty harsh. The roads in Colorado Springs are horrible, so maybe that's another gripe for me.
I will be putting on a set of the 3rd gen TRD Pro Fox coilovers, and am anxious to feel some more comfort in my daily driving.

If you want to be leveled front and rear using the Baja suspension, you should replace the leaf packs with OEM that have 3 leafs plus an overload. If you want to maintain a rake, replace the leaf packs with an aftermarket set. An AAL would not yield the best results if your current leaf packs are tired
