Thanks, those are all for the side windows?

I mean rear panel, so I can throw bikes over the tailgate.

or, would it damage anything just leaving the panel in the up while driving? Not sure how rigid it is.

sort of a moot point, a shop in the area posted on Craigslist they had them in stock..... after a couple email exchanges they realized they don’t have 5ft in stock and they are on back order.

so much for my weekend impulse buy

Yeah? You wanna try printing something? Feel like RSI should make some for us- but I'm always game if it doesn't cost too much. Here's some photos I'd like just an RSI Logo a bit bigger than that one, leave off the "Smartcap".
Doh- I misread your original post- but rear panel is pretty much the same. I've left it open to put bikes over the tailgate before and even driven some bumpy dirt roads like that, but it wasn't something I wanted to do regularly so I got a hitch rack. It's not super easy getting the bikes in and out with the lower clearance anyway.

The 5ft caps have been on nationwide backorder for a bit now. It's definitely possible that some shops actually have one on hand, but rare. More are due to start shipping around January 31st. We've got free shipping and only charge tax for MA and TX if you'd like to order one.

That’s a good possibility, I liked this shop for $100 install

That being said install looks easy.

Just a quick note on the x6 locks on the smartcap. After a few good rains / car washes the locks get SUPER sticky. I used a drop of TriFlow on each lock and they seem to pretty close to normal. I put one drop on the key and ran in/out of lock. I really think RSI should pre-treat or send some lubricant...

RSI is working on the locks and they are looking into a lock that can be opened/unlocked from the inside. We provide feedback to them and they are reading the forums.

I had messaged them if they were going to have one for 05-15 and they were like probably not... but I’m willing to bet the new one is very close to fitting with minimal changes

What was your question to them? What is 05-15?

Will RSI be providing new locks that can be opened from inside?

I'm glad they are getting feedback it's a good product but there are a few quirks here and there.

Really looking forward to mine. Currently sporting a Snugtop Hi-liner. Love my camper, but felt the need to get something more rugged especially with my rooftop tent. As a bonus, I can mount my RTT a lot lower than on my Snugtop, where I am forced to use Yakima bars that are horrendously too tall.

How can I remove rsi logo without doing vinyl cover up?

Once RSI releases detail on the new locks, we'll let TW know. For now, they're in the works.

I have asked them if they were doing an 05-15 as I have a 12. They said the 16+ doesn't work

Just remove the logo- it is also vinyl. You'll have to cut carefully around the latches but that's it. Then.. blank slate. See post 143 and 148.

With the roof rack that’s included; how easy would it be to mount an awning?

Just got my Smartcap on my 2021 Cement Limited. Put it together myself ... About 2+ hours if time at a leisurely pace.

Do you know if the new shipment en-route on the container ship has new locks or any other tweaks?
    Thanks!
