    Thanks again Tamer. Just installed the KC cyclone under hood lights. Easy install on 3rd Gen. Just enlarged existing hole, painted bare metal. Thought the angle would be too much, but its not. Perfect really.

    Looks great! Thanks for posting! If you get hood struts ever it will lift your hood a little higher and the angle will be almost level.

    Great suggestion. They really illuminated the whole engine bay. I just need to grow a couple and move forward with the struts...though the folks who provided 3rd gen feedback are awesome. The hood was easy to enlarge existing holes. Thinking using the he punch is a necessary tool for the struts

    Respectfully, this seems like classic over-engineering. I wired in a simple high quality LED flex strip with a plunger switch (for auto turn). Full coverage of the engine bay, makes it like daylight. Cost me less than $45 total.

    My system costs $41 with lights. I used to have the same LED strip but the adhesive failed and almost ended up tangled in my radiator fan, that's why I came up with this solution.

    Fair enough. Not all LED strips are created equal, especially not the adhesive. The one I got has
    $6 3M VHB 100x200mm~ (4" X8") Double Sided Foam Adhesive Sheet Tape 5952 Automotive Mounting Industrial Grade Very High Bond 5952 (1 Sheets 100x200mm)
    3M VHB that actually forms a permanent chemical bond as long as the surface has been properly cleaned with alcohol.
