TSB-0092-20 is awesome!

This TSB was the best automotive Christmas present I have ever received. Merry Christmas everyone.

 

bought my 2018 SR5 BCSB to dealer this morning for fuel pump recall and ask the tech to apply this TSB 0092-20 to mine, because truck's VIN in the affected list,took 2and half hour wait at the dealer for both jobs, think they performed the job excellently I drive bout 45 min after service, both on highway and city, didn't need to change shift to S mode at all, truck not hum or seeking for gear anymore , feel great but still cross the fingers to see how it goes next week when i'm back to work
only complaint is the cab smelled gas after the service for pump recall, but it's not take long before fade away

 

were u running ovtune prior? Or just stock tuned?

 

I was stock tuned.
Was going to OV tune but wanted to re-gear and try this tsb first.

What does this mean for the 2018 AT / six banger Sport? I see the 04A61 on the engine row but for the transmission row (of which I thought I should be looking) is 04041. Dealer said they flashed the ECM to the 58 TSB update. I want to make sure I know what is what when I see this printout. It's from my scan using the TechStream V14.20.019. See below the attached photograph.



That asked; also when I am using the TS, it states that the current version is outdated and needs to be updated. What say you? typically a key gen install does not respond well to updates.

That asked; also the instructions on page 1 of the infamous ECU Update thread, states that the software is good for 5000+ days. I get a screen nag that says 26 more tries are available (and counts down by one on each use of the software). What say you?

The AT gets updated also with just that one file. You'll see two progress bars when you do the flash.

Yes. It is about this version being a bit out of date, but perfectly functional. Just be off WiFi for the flash. If you accidentally connect once while online, it will reset the countdown.

Yes. If you show 04A61, then both the engine and AT were updated.

My dealership refused to apply the TSB. My vin is listed on the TSB..I assume it applies. I have ready on my computer techstream but the tactrix cable is to pricey for just one time use. I live in Puerto Rico and no one here from where I live. I think will be a great idea is we can lease a tactrix cable from an user here with for a fee..maybe put a deposit on it and after return the cable to the owner and paid the fee the other amount wil be reimbursed...it’s a crazy idea that cross my mind..189$ plus shiiping antd tax for a cable that will only use one time for some folks here is pretty hard to swallow

 

Agreed....made the truck run much better. I also added the Toyota chrome exhaust tip recently which looks to have added 10hp just sitting in the driveway.

 

Its actually 15whp.

 

I have the black tip on mine....can I expect the same increase in HP?...lol

I may have missed it but how do I check if I have the latest update? I bought my 2017 in August and I wasn't sure if this was after I bought it.

 

Looking on Amazon for the tactrix openport adapter. There are so many to choose from. Anyone willing to point me in a better direction? Not trying to mess this up haha.

Evidently he is confused. He may have gotten an ECU Update on his '18, but it wasn't this one.
The T-0023-20.cuw file for this TSB-0092-20 Update will only work on 2019 & 2020 trucks.
