Out of curiosity. What are the dimensions of the bearing that you dissected? Like the actual bearing bearing.

Well I like where this is heading. I still think bleeding mine might be the solution, but a solid backup plan is always good to have

It’s all built in my head. Just need the parts in hand now. Looks like Tilton has taken the week off though. :annoyed:

    Good news.

I got ahold of Tilton today. He says that my goodies should ship out this afternoon. So, hopefully I’ll be tinkering more seriously next week.

Look what showed up yesterday. Giggity.

I just did a quick test fit. The sleeve fits the quill perfectly. As it it were made for it.

So, the Supra bearing is a bit smaller than 2” that I need for the Tilton piston.

58495C4A-8103-4AD7-9D10-26109C524BDA.jpg Which, isn’t a big deal. I can machine .0085” out of the center of it if I need to.

I’ve found a couple of other bearings that could do the trick. So, I’ve ordered them as well.

The exciting thing about the N1610 being the grease zerk. Both of these bearings are special orders through Summit. So, it’s going to be mid-January until I see them. Ugh.

The threaded sleeve slides onto the quill. It’s held snug with an oring that slips into a groove machined on it’s inside bore. The sleeve can be rotated to move the unit closer or further to/from the pressure plate.

    Did you get my PM?
