Husky Liners for extended cab? Rear mats source?

Winter is near up here in Buffalo, NY.

I've heard Husky Liners are preferred to Weather Tech, do you recommend the Classic or Heavy Duty?

Also I have an xtracab, should I get fronts for a "standard cab" since that and "access cab" are the only option?

Curious if anyone makes a rear all weather mat for the xtra cab

X2 for the husky liners.
I got the molded ones, they’re very comparable to the weather tech for a much better price.
The backs I just used old rear mats from a coupe. No one ever sits back there anyways

 

well I'll chime in with this, I purchased the weather techs on the last group buy, and to be honest, I'm not that impressed with them. They don't clean up all that well, and they've gotten scratched up quite easily. The sides are too flimsy where it meets up with the gas peddle, and aggravates the shit out of me, constantly trying to shift my foot around. So, if others here recommend the husky, and their cheaper, I say give them a try.

 

The husky liners fit great in an xtra cab. I have grey up front which matches the moon mist interior really well and black in rear to in theory camouflage black jackets/bags. The rear center piece does require cutting.

 

I got my WT off CL for ~$45 for the front set. drove about 30 mins to pick them up. Never had an issue with them curling or bunching or moving out of place. I rarely clean them off, mostly just brush out the loose debris and move on. I don't need sparkly clean floor mats, they're meant to be dirty

 

That sold me on grey fronts, I have a grey interior too. Where did you get the rear portion? I haven't been able to find any online

The Weathertechs are great too, but for the price you can't beat the Husky liners. I've had the fronts for a couple years now and love them.

 

Thanks. That's for "access cab," I presume that means double cab? Do those fit in the rear of extended cab?

 

Access cab mean xtracab typically as they replaced the xtracab with the access cab on the second gens but kept the regular and double cab.

Is that to say “access cab” would be proper for the fronts as well? I’ve read the double cab had slightly different fronts due to to some hvac vents in the trans tunnel

Have you considered Loydd mats? I got a set of the rubbertite custom fit mats and love them. They fit perfect and came with clips to keep them from moving. You also get to pick from a range of colors. I've had both weather tech and husky and like the Loydd mats better. I really dislike the hard plastic mats, no matter who the manufacturer is.

if we want to "really" get technical, ours is called the Xtra Cab

Access cab was for 2005 and on, not sure what other mfr call theirs

 

Because ours has no “access” without doors.

 

kind of never thought of it that way but absolutely correct. even the Ranger I was considering in '04 had "access doors"

 

I have both Husky and WeatherTechs. They both suffer from the same issues you mention above.

The Husky liners slide on the carpet too much for my liking. The WeatehrTechs at least incorporate the hook.
