I went with the extended travel Fox 2.5’s
    Front and rear from accu-tune
    Icon tubular delta joint UCA’s
Icon RXT leafs on option 1
And got exactly 2 1/2” of lift front and rear.
Definitely go with the extended Coilovers and UCA’s
The ride quality and extra droop is really nice.!!

Can you speak to those leafs a little more? I'm running dakars and would like something softer, but I do like the 3 inch of lift in the rear

No, you cannot go taller than 2" with the 0-2" coilovers. With those coilovers we only suggest a max lift height of about 1.5" so the shock has a good amount of up / down travel. Even the 0-3" lift coilovers we only suggest going to about 2.5" lift. New UCA are needed on the 0-3" due to the amount of droop travel the shock provides.

Well icon states the you will get 1 7/8” on #1 setting but I have 2 1/2” of lift.
I went with #1 because I have only sliders and an aluminum front bumper so no real extra weight and only carry heavy loads once in a while.
My comparison is only to the stock OR suspension that had 60,000 miles on them. They are definitely softer and ride so much better than stock but the accu-tune valved shocks add stability so it’s firmer in a good way but still much more compliant then stock. Win win...
At 2 1/2” front and rear I maintained my factory 1” rake which I’m very happy with. If want 3” you will need to b on option #2 but that will ride a little stiffer depending on how much weight your truck has in the back.
2 1/2” is the max Accutune recommends
For the best ride so I would stick with that.

I got the fox 2.5 coilovers and it seems like I got about 2.5" lift out of it. But the rear definitely has a rake as I got a full 3" out of that. If I adjust my front coilovers another 1/4" do you think it will make that much difference in ride quality or performance? I'd like to get it as level as possible having minimal rake in front. I thought compressing the coilovers not more than 1/4" would be fine and look a little more level.

You probably have the 0-3" coilovers then. As long as the coilover shock length doesn't pass 21", you should be fine. This article may help out with that

My 700# 14" King Coils are supposed to be arriving tomorrow, would be a great to get them installed so I can ride Kox for Christmas.

What's the best way to swap the springs out at home? Anyone have experience with this guy?

    https://www.amazon.com/8MILELAKE-Ma...&sr=8-5#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div

I used the clip on suicidal type rental from O'Reilly's when I cranked my originals down.

With the 700# is it still safe to use the single set screw style top spring perch or should I order another lock ring and double up the purchase area?

How much preload should I have on them? Fox recommends measuring from the beginning of the threaded body to the top of the lock ring, right now I have my 600#'s screwed down to Fox's maximum recommendation. (1 3/4" IIRC.)

Can I relax the spring on the truck without hurting anything or should I compress the spring before loosening the lock collar?

Thanks for helping a newb out with mid travel.

Yeah I used a punch to turn mine down originally. Some T-9 Boe-Sheild lube made them go easy.

I sprayed both the lock collar and the spring perches and let the T-9 creep in there for a while, it's pretty good penetrant better than PB Blaster IMHO and has more longevity, I also use it on my shock shafts and uniballs regularly keeps the dust and water off them some. It was designed for the landing gear shafts and spherical bearings on carrier based aircraft after all.

It is technically a dry lubricant (as is WD-40) and it works really good in door locks and draw slides too.

    Merry Christmas!

It’s not that hard. Get those SPC compressors I mentioned, take the shocks off the truck. Put em on a table, compress, spin the top adjuster ring to the top, push the coil bucket up the body of the shock (you may need to compress the spring further at this point to gain enough to expose the c clip, take the c clip off the shock body, slip coil bucket down and off the the shock body, take the coil off, and reverse order for the new coil install.
*note, the c clip is actually 2 c clips held together by a rubber o ring. This was disintegrated on mine. It only serves as a tool to hold the c clips together when re-installing, so I didn’t replace mine. But you can easily source those at your local hardware store if you wanted.

You may find that you do not need any or only a couple threads exposed to reach the desired ride height. YMMV but expect at least 1 readjustment after installing on the truck. The nice thing about those SPC compressors is that they work while the shock is on the truck, a tight fit, but works and is easier than removing everything all over again to adjust the collar.

Im already looking into these. I just got some 2.5s on this week and i had to crank them up damn near the max just to give it a less than 3 inch rake. Still rides fine, no clunking, but i know it would be better without all that preload

Yeah mine are at max for what Fox recommends and I'm practically at stock ride height.

For what it's worth, in my research most sources say not to get 700lb springs unless full armored with gear etc. If you don't have all the gear get the 14" 650s.

    Also consider revalving.

I have a 1" spacer lift (yielding 2"@ at the wheel) that I'm pulling off for Fox 2.5 DSC's (std length). How can I set the preload to equal the lift the current spacer provides? I really don't want to play musical thread count guessing. Is there any basic guideline to follow? I keep reading on a 3rd Gen you might get 2", and maybe 0" so it's hard to figure out for me. Thanks

4 full turns is about 1” lift i believe. Though when adjusting mine, i just did trial and error til i got the measurements i wanted.
