    Ok, here's one....
Today I was on public land (hunting really close to my truck) and some peckerhead across the road decided (30 minutes before dark) to ride his 4 wheeler through some frozen mudhole thing about 20 yards from my truck, busting through ice and making hella noise. Repeatedly, for like 20 minutes. I have no doubt it was on purpose to piss me off/ruin my hunt. So when I got back to my truck I laid on the horn for about 15 minutes to be 100% positive that all the dogs in the area would come unglued. (There are alot of dogs in the area!)

Were you successful in your goal. Did the dogs become unglued ?

    Here's a hunting story. @StayinStock

    TLDR

Saw two bears in Two days then went home

Last year in Bow season I was tramping around the hills by myself. living out of my backpack as per usual. I woke up on the second morning in the bottom of this drainage after a night of no sleep so I was still half asleep when I started climbing up to get to a glassing knob. After hiking for an hour or so its starting to get light and I'm looking around for elk sign. It had rained most of the night and the ground and grass is soaked everywhere. As im walking around I pop into this particularly grassy aspen grove. I walk up to a good sized bed and I'm standing there trying to figure out what made it. It was too large for a deer, most likely to small for a moose or elk bed. There was no scat near the bed to give me a clue as to what had spent the nigh there. As I was pondering the options I hear some crunching next to me so I look to my left to find what had been in the bed that night. A nice big black bear. he was standing about 60 yards away giving me the old jaw snap they do when they're irritated. So i started shouting and waving my bow around while very slowly backing away from him. He screwed of in the other direction thankfully and The rest of my day was spent glassing, find deer but no elk.

I spent the night up on the open ridges as it was really nice night, clear and warm. The next day I got up and headed off again. half way through the day I ran out of water and started looking for some. I ended up dropping way down into a deep and very steep drainage to find some water. there was nothing up high as it was really hot and dry last season. I finally dropped enough elevation to find a trickle of water. I had to slide down a steep scree type slop to get to the water. While filtering water and filling my bladder I hear branches snapping and popping coming towards me from the flat small flat spot in front of me. I think hey might be elk coming as they're about the only thing that makes that much noise coming through the trees. So I knock an arrow on my bowstring and stand behind this fallen tree so I can just see over it into the direction the noise is coming. It's getting closer and im getting excited and all of a sudden i see a brown patch through the trees. I think this it when this guy pops out of the trees i'll have a nice 30 yrd shot. easy! a few seconds later the brown spot turns into a very large round brown spot. well hello Mr Brown Bear. I was up wind of the ol Grizz so he could smell me and I was behind a tree so I started yelling again but this guy was curious and kept walking towards me. turning his head back and forth like a dog does trying to figure out what was going on. I dropped my bow and scrambled to get my bear spray just in case he decides im going to be lunch. wouldn't want him to have some unseasoned meat! well he got to 15-20 yrds and fucked off finally tearing up the ridge.

So two bears way to close in two days. after that I decided to go home before my luck ran our and look for another area to hunt the rest of the season.

So just a random piece of info to throw out there. I've been doing a lot of research about possibly doing an Elk hunt in Colorado next year. Their booklet is something like 84 pages long. I'm printing that thing off at work !
