Myself, going from a 2017 with 04B03 to my 2020 having 04B81 (same T-SB but came from the factory that way) it was a night and day difference. I'm sure 31 to 33 isn't as big of a difference, but I bet it's still quite noticeable.

It is leaps and bounds better. I traded my 19 in for my 21 MT because of the transmission. I did get to flash from B30 to B33 and drive around for about three weeks before the trade and I felt the truck was actually tolerable on the highway (and in town but I mostly took issue on highways). It behaved much more like every other AT vehicle I've driven. I can only imagine how much better it would be tuned, as tuning on B30 was night and day (though still not good enough). I felt the tuned B30 was maybe a hair ahead of B33 stock but they felt pretty much the same to me, at least in that short time I had with it

Its the primary shifting. The tune from @Mooseditty17 that you're running is a result of what I'd mentioned to change so you dont need to modify anything else to get rid of the clunk.

Trying to identify the ecu or trying to get computer to communicate with truck. When I click identify, the obd2 adapter starts blinking red as if it's communicating but comes back unsuccessful. I am on 2 presses of the button and truck off.

I’m running MD87 M2W 3.1 and am still getting the clunk, which this is actually the first tune I’ve ran where it was pronounced enough to chase down.

I changed Acc Shifting downshift 2-3 to match Primary 2-3 and in my short test drive it seems to improve the remaining clunk. Only got one small clunk on the initial test drive.

Hmm thats interesting. I have not had the clunk happen even once since changing the shift table. I think several others have also confirmed theirs is gone. Maybe its something outside the tune?? You can also try raising the lowest values in the downshift 2-3 table by 1 or 2 more and see if that helps. The acc shift tables are for 4lo so they wouldnt affect this.

I have simulated issues with 4-5 upshift with added real engine torque values.

I don't think the torque plays any role.
I downshifted at 67 mph and accel=45.3* torque 317(1st flag)
    2nd flag - speed 69/accel 30*/ torque 222
    3rd flag -67/33.8*/233
between 3rd and 4th flag - 69.6/15.8*/130.5 -was trying to reduce throttle to force upshift
    4th flag - upshift at 69/17.2*/138.2

The last flag one the graph is the normal 4 to 5 upshift and happened at 62/26/196.
If compare Normal upshift to "failed" upshifts, it seems the speed and the angle may play the role. Here is my 4 to 5 values

    upload_2020-12-26_11-45-25.jpg

I broke down speeds between 26.5 and 40 angles, second column is mph. And this where I got stock. do we need to increase speeds for 30-40* range to force upshifts at these conditions?

Edit: everything works just fine if I put in S and upshift manually immediately . Same RPMS, angles, etc.
Also, noticed if I do that, ACIS is turning off.
    What's the difference?

    normal.
    I set these #'s for 0 and 17.
i may need to to adjust a bit. I still see 3 to 1 drops on some stops, but most my stops follow 3-2-1

Yes!!! TSB update from 31 to 33 is definitely better than 31 with OVtune. I would say that if I had 33 the whole time, I would probably feel cheated for paying that cash to both the flash kit + VFtuner. That being said, I hope that when map switching and Performance tune are finally released, they don’t end up being a disappointment.

More than likely a silly question but if I had the original ovtune and then bought vftuner, do I still need to buy the tune pack to have access to already adjusted files in vftuner?

If you did the upgrade, you also get the tune pack. You need to request the ecu you want via zendesk
