Processed the two hogs I shot this weekend. Nice little treat.
    Ended up with
    3 Shoulder Blade Roasts
    2 Hams Bone in
    2 Hams boneless
4 meals worth of Backstrap and Tenderloin
3 1lb packs of meat for Thit Kho (wife’s favorite viet dish)
    1 1.4lb pack for grinding
    2 hearts
    1 pack of 7 shanks.
When I get back from vacation in January I’m going to start brining 2 of the hams.

Not to start working on the 3 doe I got this weekend.

I just put a new one up a couple of days ago. It's mostly just rabbit hunters out there now, and a few diehards like myself.

Nope, it's been really slow. I have a doe tag burning a hole in my pocket I need to try to fill. The buck tag may end up in the trash.

I’ve been looking for deer for 4 days, found some this morning. Seen 7 so far from this house we’ve rented for Christmas here in Virginia.

I saw more deer out of this rental house in Virginia today than I saw all deer season in North Carolina. Saw at least 22 today throughout the day :D

Saw 12 in one snow covered field about 1,500 yards away before dark.

I sat this morning and didn’t see anything. The stand I sat in I usually see a few doe or hog. I also froze my feet off lol. It was 38deg here but felt like 20 deg. After a four hour sit and the wind kicking up I was done. I desperately need to get one set of cold weather boots and a cold weather hunting jacket. 90% of my hunting is warm weather as such so is most of my hunting clothes. I’ll tough it out this season and see what goes on sale. Stay warm everybody.

Our high tomorrow is 37 lol. Crazy how humans climatize to their environments. I remember when I went back to visit family after a year being up north and I about melted it was so damn hot! It was 70 degrees lol.

Wool socks and 800-1000 gram thinsulate hunting boots. I’ve been out the last two days playing in the snow, more of watching my son play in it, and my feet stayed warm. The high yesterday was about 28F, today was 36F.

Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about Elk County Ammo & Arms in St. Marys, PA?
I want, not necessarily need a new scope and I'm liking what I see on their website.
I may order online or I may make the 3 to 3.5 hour drive.
