    Alright woodworkers:

I have a bedroom set that has these annoying plastic guides (Kenlin Rite-trak II) and many have broken. Any thoughts on what is better to replace it with?

We bought this set about 10 years ago and don’t want to replace it with plastic again.

Other than some random dents and dings from moving the bedroom set is in great shape and not needing/wanting to replace it for at least another 5 years when I retire and am done with all the military moves haha

I picked up the 500, the projects I do lend themselves more to that size.

nice , I got the 700 because I want to use it to make some doors but after using it for a whole bunch of things I hadn't thought of I now want to get the 500 as well at some point

did you buy the domino assortment or are you going to get them or make them as you need them ?

also the small stops that come with the domino sets are super useful

Yes, I got the assortment with bits and the 500 that has the extra guides. I also picked up CT 15 dust extractor. Now I have to try it all out later today

you definitely need the dust extraction when using the domino

FYI , for exterior projects they offer Sipo domino stock

I used the Sipo domino stock for this tropical hardwood deck and railing joinery last year , joints are all still tight

Now that is some seriously nice work! I wonder how a deck like that would hold up to winters in Wisconsin.

Its Yellow Bangkirai Balua , which is super dense and supposed to be really rot resistant but in general I hate drip decks , they're always a temporary structure no matter how you slice it

True, they are temporary and mine is shot, but that looks like it will last a good long time

I am guessing that it is outdoor decks that have open spaces between the deck boards for water to drip through ?

Absolutely beautiful decking ! I have some 3 year old plain pressure treated 2x6 decking I would like to cover up/ replace because of dark mold in some of the boards . More info on what you used would be appreciated .
