Well the duras are set up ready to be studded........ It's biggest and closest competition would be the STT Maxx. The KO2 is in a different catagory of tire yet still is really good in the snow thus getting the triple peak rating and that isn't just a manufacturer thing like the UTQG ratings. They also have to meet certain government tests to get that.

Oh I'm in the same boat If I knew the Goodyear wranglers were such a terrible tire I would never have driven away with them on the wheels. That being said, when I moved to Falkens, lot of fanboys on Tacomaworld love them, and there are plenty of naysayers too. I got them because they were good mix of capability and price. And for me, they're working really well. There have been times off-road where I wish they were a little more aggressive, but they've handled everything that I do well for the most part. other guys in my crew run coopers, some people have had BF goodrich's, everyone to varying levels of success. A lot of it just depends on how you maintain and drive.

but at the end of the day, a set of good years wearing out at 30,000 mi with hardly any rough driving on them? No sir. No thank you. Be hard pressed to get me to wear Goodyear rubber again.

You're wrong the Duratrac does not compete with the KO2 2 different categories. The duratrac is a hybrid BFG has no hybrid. The closest Wrangler to the BFG would be one of the ATs. The Duratracs direct competitor is the STT Maxx the other hybrids on the market are not even close to either of these.

You may be right there. My point still stands though. All are considered all terrain tires, but they are not all going to be equal on the same terrain. And again, the TRD Off Road and TRD Pro should not have the same tires. The TRD Pro should have something a little more aggressive, just as other manufacturers do with their top off road trims. Often in comparison videos, the TRD Pro is held back by its tire choice from the factory compared to other trucks.

I think that term came from the toyo RTs which is their hybrid. Toyo and Nitto's hybrids are much more geared towards the offroad side they give up a lot in snow, wet, and on road especially the Toyo I have not been impressed with that tire at all. The Nitto Ridge is well how to put this nicely for the carolina squat bois.

Well then the same goes for the Wranglers that are labeled Sahara, Overland, etc. they all come with hwy tires. Hell Jeeps whole maketing badge on all of them is trail rated with highway tires. What trail the Blue Ridge parkway. There is a reason the Wranglers still comes with the 3 generation old original KM and not the newer KM3 it has nothing to do with capability. It's all in the wheeling and dealing, engineering, and meeting CAFE standards. This is much more of a complex answer than a simpleton one that you are trying to make. It's the same old argument with keeping old school manuals around even for the die hard enthusiast. Why would manufacturers want to appease less than 1% of their target market we see how well that has been financially for Chrysler over the years..........

I saw him live on a solo act tour probably 10-15 years ago. I've never been more impressed by a vocal performance in my life! He did Soundgarden and Audioslave songs along with his solo material. Such an amazing voice.

What comparison videos, they didnt slow me down, more a tire size issue than anything.

I actually completely agree with you here. But this whole thing just kind of blew up from my belief that the TRD Pro should have something a little more aggressive from the factory than the TRD Off Road. The Raptor does not come with the same tires as the F150 FX4. The ZR2 and Z71 don't have the same tires. The Wrangler/Gladiator Rubicon does not have the same tires as the trims below that either. In each case, the top tier off road trims come with a more aggressive tire. To say that all all-terrains are equal is just plain asinine. That was my point.

Many which compare trucks side by side. But that being stated, again, terrain matters too. However, I do agree that tire size makes a big difference as well.

Sure would be cool to see Toyota do what the OP asked, I just don’t see it.

Toyota MFG plants are the some of the most efficient in the industry. It would be unlikely they start making custom vehicles.

If they did they would be pretty pricey I would imagine.

Toyota’s are also not known for making super powerful vehicles. Sure there’s the Supra, but that’s not even a MT.

Toyota gonna do what Toyota does. Make reliable vehicles on their proven production line.

Maybe I’ll be surprised, but I don’t see it.

If the quality of the Bronco is anything like my employer provided 2019 F150 good luck.

The dash is warped, the door panels scratch easy, the front hubs on freezing mornings decide to partially engage despite 4WD not being selected and the crowning jewel is i've slammed the seat belt buckle so many times in the door jamb that it's getting dinged up. It's not near the quality of the 2014 it replaced.

Which tire should they go with? The unreliable coopers that puncture easy, the duratracs that wear down too early, the KO's that allegedly suck in snow?
