Looking at access website it looks like they come with quick connect clips now.
Mine didn’t, it installs by taking the rails off and screwing in the tonneau rails behind and then putting the bed rails back on top.

anyway it is in decent condition and I can’t remember how long I have had it. Maybe 5-6 years? Always protected with Aerospace 303 so no sun damage at all.

I couldn’t find a single picture in my phone of my truck lol (all pics of my kids these days)

I knew I should have snapped a few before I took it off yesterday morning.

anyway I have loved this cover and to me the roll up covers are the most practical for utilizing the bed space.

Does anybody have a stout spring compressor for sale rent or borrow? I want to install my 14-in 700 lb springs and what I've got doesn't seem to be up to the task, and what you can rent from the Auto Box stores is definitely not up to it.

in search of aftermarket 1st gen tacoma bumper 1998-2000. Preferably a prerunner or tube styles, any leads or information would be greatly appreciated.

 

Check craigslist regularly with the search term "ARB", there's a guy in Tampa who buys the scratch and dent and otherwise unretailable bumpers from 4wheel parts and resells them. Most of the time they don't come with any of the lights or push pads or the mounting brackets, but as you have to cut and weld the first gens to put a bumper on you're already most the way towards making your own brackets anyway. This is how I got mine for my second gen. This one is currently available for sale from him for a 4th gen 4Runner probably a little too wide but you might be able to make it work.

I used the loaner spring kit at my local auto zone for free. It’s a bit different than the one in your pic. More like two separate Long bolts that attach to springs where you place them. Then crank down with a wrench to compress. It would be handy to have a hydraulic coil press in the garage for sure. Hey there’s a side gig! Coil mounts $50 each.

i went to a shop a couple miles away, they took mine off and after I rebuilt the shocks they put them back on.
$40.
With 700lb springs I didn’t want to mess with any autozone compressor.
