So here we go. I have the solution that will allow you to connect to the Dasaita Hotspot and allow your phone to use mobile data. Finally, it works as it supposed to. This solution is for the PX6 with Android 10, MCU 3.65, and zlink.
    1. Connect your iPhone to the Bluetooth
    2. Connect your iPhone to the Wi-Fi Hotspot on the head unit.
    3. Go to settings on the iPhone, then Carplay sections, and be sure that it connects to the head unit. Mine was called CAR-LINK, once connecting it changes to something like zjinnova-D310C
    4. Go to SETTINGS and select Wi-Fi then select the blue INFO icon to the right of the name of your head unit hotspot connection.
    5. Make note of both the IP address and the Subnet Mask address
    6. Select the STATIC option and enter only the IP and Subnet Mask addresses from Step 5 -- (Leave everything else blank)
Boom, everything works as it should. I will inform Dasiata. This should be the first thing they tell you to try.

Any 2012+ owners able to assist? Cam isn’t working and steering wheel controls can’t be configured.
Waiting to hear back from the vendor, but they don’t usually respond until late night.

Seems like folks are pretty happy with the Dasaita unit. Is that correct? I'm looking for a new headunit with carplay support and I have the JVC stereo so this should fit well in the bezel. I think a JVC or Pioneer is going to be more expensive once you get the wiring and control packs from somewhere like Crutchfield. Thanks

Thank you did you leave it plugged in/did it drain your battery at all?

I did not have good luck with the Veepeak. I sent it back. I ended up with the OBDLink MX.

you head unit you have chosen will give you built in Carplay via the zLink program. You will need an android compatible bluetooth OBD2 reader. You will link the reader to the headset and all your car info will work, and you can run a program like Torq to get gauges and speedo, as well as TPMS.

Does this hu have optical out? I've searched but can't find anything saying it for sure does nor can I see a toslink or spdif from any of the pics but I do need glasses really bad!

Also, from anyone that has gone from a manufacturer like Sony, Kenwood, Alpine etc to this or vice versa how does the sound quality compare? My worry about sound quality is the only reason I haven't bought one of these yet...

Can anyone speak to the differences with this hu and the Joying besides the Joying having a volume knob and a stupid brand name?

    Thanks!

Folks that have the PX6: I swapped my px5 out and hooked up the 6. Most everything works, but I'm fairly certain I'm having canbus issues. Steering wheel controls don't work, won't switch over to the camera in reverse, and I'm not getting any sound. I know the camera is working because I can use it through the FCAM app. I have OEM+ stuff and it's getting power, so I don't think the remote signal is coming through. Sooo it probably is the canbus module. I want to make sure everything is wired correctly as it's a little different than the 5. I'm also pretty sure I have the settings correct on the head unit. Any pointers from folks that have some this?

So not sure if its the same on the dasaita units as it is on the joying ones, but in the car select page I had to choose this to get any of those things to work on mine.

It's a little different, but I have a similar screen. I found a video where dude installs the same unit, but no luck. I'll see if I can emulate this on mine. Thanks.

I bought a PX6 and it worked for a day or so before the core board went out but the steering wheel controls and backup camera worked. Now I'm back to Entune and waiting for a replacement board from China.

I got the PX6, MTCE Android 10 flavor for my 2013 non-JBL. I was able to get CARPLAY to work after much of the same suggestions offered by Iris. The one thing that I had not done was enable Siri on my phone. That seemed to break the ice. There are a lot of moving parts so I'm sure Siri is just one piece fo the puzzle.

However after getting wireless carplay working and living with it for a week, I decided to go back to the native Android interface (plus Agama). I had an annoying oscillating static that was occurring. It was very faint and easily drowned out when driving. However when I was stopped and in between songs it was noticeable. I thought it might be related to the canbus adapter so I now have that out of the circuit. But what cured it was turning off carplay and turning my iPhone in to a wifi hotspot for the unit. To me, it's a much smoother interaction with all the native Android apps plus the static is now gone. Hard to quantify but I think that Spotify sounds cleaner as well. Mulling over the idea of getting a data only 4g USB dongle.

I did like how immediately the carplay would reconnect when I started the car. Trying to get the native wifi hotspot to work automagically is frustrating. I did find that if I scrolled up the home lock screen, long pressed the bluetooth icon - it would give me the option to make the personal hotspot discoverable without going through the dance in the settings option.

I plan to add the canbus adapter back in to the equation in a week. I'll be able to confirm if it contributed to the static. Currently the SWC works without it in place, but I think I'm gonna need it when I add Torque in the future.

Still have stock speakers in place. The next step is changing out the speakers and adding in a small sub. I wanted to get used to the head unit first before adding in too many more variables. So far I really like it. There's a bit of the Android learning curve to overcome but I see a lot of potential.

On the Dasaita you need to go to the canbus and select RAV4 or Camry I believe. Once I did that camera and controls worked. I ordered the wrong harness at first and with that one controls worked without changing to another car but no camera.

for internet that was mentioned I read that you can set a static IP so that your unit connects right away but haven’t tried it. I’ll post if I can find it again.

The more I look, the more I think my canbus module is bad.
