My 2021 Tacoma, Access Cab, TRD Offroad Auto is going to be delivered in about 3 weeks. I've already got a bed cover, floor liners, bed matt, rust proofing and MESO led interior light kit. I drive off-road about 10 percent of the time, and on road (Canadian highway's, 20% of it towing light loads) 90% of the time. I have 1000 USD to spend on mods. Spend it for me.

One BIG catch tho: Can't void warrantee. So, no OV tune, and also no lifts, because I don't need it. Anything else goes.

Thought this might be a fun challenge for y'all!

Technically the OV tune doesn't void warranty as it can reflash to stock and it was like it was never there.

If you are towing I'd suggest an electronic trailer brake controller, maybe a weight distributing hitch? Can't forget tint. Also a nice quality of life mod is the subaru tweeter conversion.

I would suggest a boost jumper/pack. IFAK, two road flares, a decent flashlight/headlamp. Pickup a set of kc cyclones and get the under the hood light brackets get some clean light for under the hood. I would also suggest decent seat covers.

My father is an ex semi truck driver, and I worked for him for a while hot shot hauling (off the books kinda stuff, cash payment) furniture for his clients, so I'm all set up for hitches and the sort. Brake controller and tint sounds like some great ideas.

Actually already bought one and forgot about it lol. Thanks for the reminder to add it to the post.

My Canadian ass had to google that.

Already got the emergency stuff set up from my old car. Any suggestion on specific seat covers? And I'll look into those KCs, never heard of em before.

Who says I didn't already get one ;) the Canadian government, that's who

Had ko2s on my last truck, liked em. Any reason not to go with em again?

Rokblokz! Forgot about those. Also, failed to mention I work at a dealership now and got free rustproofing. Whoops. Tint is definitely on my list tho. I'll check out the seat covers.

    Better than ko2s?

    n e v e r

Already got a decent long term investment portfolio. Parents helped me set that up.

I've got a decent savings stacked up for my university. Just happened to get a big fat covid bonus from my employer as a thanks for working 14 hours a day, and 3 weeks without a day off to cover for missing employees lol.

    Keep the suggestions comin yall!

Best mod under 1k in my opinion is the OV Tune. Its like a different truck. I waited two years and did all my other mods first when I should have done the tune first. And the beauty is it doesn't void the warranty and is undetectable by the dealership unless they are digging into your ECU and actually searching for something they don't know is even there. My tune has never been detected from my dealership. OV Tune get my vote hands down.
