Thanks for sharing the feedback and the clip. Lots of rock where I am in the Central Coast of CA. I can find the Mazza 29 x 2.4 on Amazon, now just searching for the Martello 29 x 2.35 . Both tires are TNT right?

Anybody need some grips? I’ve got a brand new set of Chromag Squarewave XL grips in grey/red that I bought for another project, but I’m not going to use them on it or my bike. $20 Venmo, DM me if you’re interested.

Thanks! Pulled the trigger and bought both tires today with the Mazza 29 x 2.4 coming from Amazon and the Martello 29 x 2.35 coming from Jenson. I'm going from Bontrager X2's so this will be a huge upgrade on the feel of my ride. I can keep the X2's for when I do gravel or asphalt with my wife

Flew over the bars and slammed my head hard enough on the ground to crack the foam in my helmet. Was seeing stars for a bit. Fun times. Finished up 7 more miles post crash and got back for a bike wash with the buddies. Everything is now sore. Helmet + MIPS probably saved my ass.

On the topic of helmets, what do you guys wear? I’m looking at the Giro tyrant, Smith forefront and Fox speedframe pro but can’t find the Fox in stock anywhere.

since it’s gotten cold I wear full face everywhere. I got the 7idp Project 23 fiberglass on a crazy sale from chain reaction. I wanted the teal black instead of red, but it wasn’t marked down as well.

Im using a fox speedframe. Was a pretty bad wreck. Hit my head hard. It did its job and I walked away from it. I’ll probably replace it with the same, I liked it.

wonder if fox has a crash replacement program.

ive been eyeing the new enduro full face helmets that are lighter than what I used to wear back in the day. More protection is always good.

I don’t even notice I’m wearing the full face or let me rephrase, it doesn’t hinder me in any way. It has so many air channels in it I don’t notice any more sweat than normal.

Wearing some specialized helmet I bought from when I first started 3 years ago. No bad head impacts yet. (knock on wood) Definitely want to go a different route but it still works just fine and helmets are not cheap to the point I can just buy a new one because I feel like it.

I don't get any neck pain throughout my 4 hour rides, It's nothing I pay attention to on the bike rather it be downhill, singletrack, or fireroads.

I will still wear the normal POC helmet if riding around the flat trails with the lady.
