Ever had the habit of "topping off" the tank when filling? That can kill one. Just curious

Yup, nailed it. The girlfriend tried to get us a few more miles on a trip to see my brother years ago. I didn't know about it till after the damage was done.

Ive put off replacing the canister because I still pass smog with zero issues. :)

Yeah....I see it all the time at gas stations. People just don"t realize what they're actually doing when they do that. It's more common on warm days....but when the fuel expands there no where for it to go if it's filled all the way up the filler neck. So raw fuel can be pushed into the canister.....which is meant for vapor only.

You can get away with it 99 out 100 times. But eventually it'll get it

Yup! My first thought was the tapping of the nozzle. I'd catch her doing it out of habit. Those little dents will help your computer fire off the same codes. If I see someone doing that at the gas station, I usually chime in :D

Hope you don’t get water when it rains, you might want to make sure to clean your drains on either end, mine was filled with an incredible amount of leaves from previous owner and they wouldn’t drain fast enough.....got water inside on my cabin filter and AC blower.

I vacuumed everything out. But no reports of any kind from others. My stock intake is so exposed to elements, fender flares are so beat. This was a cheaper option versus a aftermarket CAI
